MRLinac Boost for Gynecological Cancers if Brachytherapy is Not Feasible (MARGARITA)

The goal of this observational study is to explore the effectiveness and side effects of a high dose daily adapted SBRT (stereotactic body radiotherapy) boost delivered with MRLinac in patients with gynaecological cancers that cannot receive a brachytherapy boost to the primary tumour for different reasons (medical conditions, tumour extensions, etc). Current alternative for brachytherapy in these situations is often a non-adaptive conebeam- CT guided boost. Conebeam-CT guided non-adaptive high dose SBRT in under these circumstances is described being quite toxic. The main questions this study aims to answer are: - In how many cases could local control (i.e. total disappearance of the tumor) is be achieved with this treatment? - Which side effects are observed in patients receiving this treatment? Participants will be asked to fill out questionnaires (e.g. regarding side effects). Furthermore, participants are asked if their clinical data may be used for study purposes.

Adoptive Cell Therapy Using Cancer Specific CD8+ Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes in Adult Patients With Solid Tumors

The subject of this study is the adoptive transfer of selected autologous tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) after in vitro expansion for the treatment of solid tumor malignancies. The TIL selection process is based on evidence showing that CD8+ TIL which co-express both CD39 and CD103 harbor the bulk of tumor-reactivity and that the remaining CD8 TIL is mainly composed of non-tumor reactive bystander cells. All of the expanded TIL that are produced (1-40 billion are expected) will be delivered in the form of a cell suspension to the participants by intravenous infusion. It is proposed that these selected TIL will produce a more potent and efficacious treatment of late-stage cancer.

To Explore the Benefits of the MonaLisa Touch® System in Gynaecological Cancer Patients Treated by (Chemo)-RT

The increasing survival rate of gynaecological cancer patients highlights the need to improve their Quality of Life (QoL) after treatment. Among all QoL factors, sexuality is unfortunately often neglected, especially vaginal dryness and fibrosis/stenosis. Currently, the latter is standardly treated by vaginal dilators, which may induce pain and discomfort (1). A new possibility, already used in some centers, is the MonaLisa Touch® system, a microablative CO2 laser (2). Its efficiency to improve sexual QoL has already been demonstrated in breast cancer patients treated with chemotherapy and/or hormonotherapy and in menopausal women (3). Unfortunately, almost no study have been conducted yet for patients undergoing radiotherapy to the pelvic area to prevent vaginal morbidity. Our randomised study will explore the benefits of the MonaLisa Touch® device for the prevention of sexual adverse events induced by pelvic (chemo-) radiotherapy for pelvic cancers.
