Topical Anesthesia will be compared to Analgosedation for pain control in Micropulse Transscleral Laser Treatment for Glaucoma (MP-TLT).
By comparing the preoperative data and postoperative data of 9 patients of microspherophakia, we concluded that the 6-point transscleral suture fixation of a 3-looped haptics posterior chamber intraocular lens (PC-IOL) through scleral pockets was a feasible method of PC-IOL implantation in the surgical treatment of microspherophakia.
The objective of this clinical study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of NCX 470 Ophthalmic Solution in lowering intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. In the adaptive dose selection phase of the trial, subjects will be randomized in a 1:1:1 ratio to one of two doses of NCX 470 (0.065% or 0.1%) or to latanoprost 0.005%. Following the selection of one dose of NCX 470, subjects will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to the chosen dose of NCX 470 or to latanoprost 0.005%.
The aim of this project is to compare trabeculectomy with Preserflo / Innfocus Microshunt in patients with Primary Angle Open Glaucoma and Pseudoexfoliation Glaucoma regarding the reduction of intraocular pressure.
Glaucoma is a chronic degenerative disease of the optic nerve. It is the second cause of blindness worldwide and a frequent cause of irreversible blindness. In 2020, epidemic health authorities have predicted about 80 million glaucoma patients. Glaucoma can be treated by topical treatment (eye drops), laser or surgery. A premature diagnosis of glaucoma is very important to prevent irreversible blindness. Pachymetry, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and visual fields exams are fundamental for the development of the glaucoma diagnosis. The severity of glaucoma is defined with Hodapp-Parrish-Andersen visual field criteria. According to these criteria, glaucoma can be classified as early (with average visual field deviation, MD, of 0 to -6 dB), moderate (MD of -6 to -12 dB) and severe (MD worse than -12 dB). The progression of glaucoma is being identified by the visual fields tests, and also by the progression of alterations in the optic nerve head. The visual fields tests are long and difficult (30 minutes). It is therefore important to create additional tests and anticipate the diagnosis, in order to avoid the irreversibility of glaucoma.
Glaucoma is the leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. The visual function of patients with advanced glaucoma is severely impaired, and the vision-related activities (e.g. movement, reading) are obviously restricted, which may have a negative impact on the patients' quality of life (QOL) and increase the burden on individuals and families. Low vision aids (LVAs) and other devices for vision rehabilitation (VR) are useful for patients with advanced glaucoma to maximize the function of residual vision and improve the QOL. OXSIGHT smart glasses are the latest LVAs eyeglasses that are expected to improve the QOL for patients with low vision (LV), such as those with glaucoma. Clinical data were collected to evaluate the efficacy and its influencing factors of OXSIGHT smart glasses in patients with advanced glaucoma, in providing theoretical basis for subsequent clinical studies.
Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness worldwide. Intraocular pressure (IOP) remains the only modifiable risk factor for glaucoma. Without sufficient IOP lowering therapy, glaucoma induces retinal ganglion cell death and visual field loss. Pattern electroretinography (pERG) measurements directly correlate with retinal ganglion cell (RGC) signaling, providing an objective, repeatable, and non-invasive assessment of RGC function. The purpose of the study is to investigate the pERG changes associated with acute IOP reduction using the Mercury™ Multi-Pressure Dial (MPD). 10 patients will be enrolled. These subjects will have a best corrected visual acuity of 20/40 or better in both eyes and an established diagnosis of one of either mild/moderate OAG (open-angle glaucoma), OHT (ocular hypertension), or glaucoma suspect. Both eyes will be enrolled in the study. The study eye will receive a standardized 10 mmHg decrease in periorbital pressure via the Mercury™ Multi-Pressure Dial (MPD), and the fellow/control eye will receive no (zero) pressure application. Total google wear time will be 4.5 hours. Serial pERG measurements will be taken before, immediately after, and 2 hours after negative pressure application.

The use of Cyclodestruction procedures has been extended to patients with non-refractory glaucoma and good vision. Our aim is to compare the safety and efficacy of three cyclodestructive treatments; High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) Cyclocoagulation versus micropulse cyclophotocoagulation (MP-CPC) versus transscleral continuous wave cyclophotocoagulation (CW-CPC) for the treatment of Primary open angle glaucoma.
