Filter by:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and Intraocular pressure lowering effectiveness of the Streamline™ Surgical System.
The SALUS project is developing a new form of care, the application of self-tonometry by the patient itself, and an accompanying electronic case file connecting clinics, doctor's offices and patients.
To determine the effect of foot reflexology in primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) patients and the effect of a shoe insert to perform continuous foot reflexology in ocular hypertensive (OHTN) patients.
comparing outcomes of Visco-Circumferential-Suture-Trabeculotomy in primary congenital glaucoma to trabeculotomy
A prospective, randomized comparative study on adult patients with synechial angle closure glaucoma.
The surgically-harvested eye tissue (ie. vitreous-retinal proliferative membrane, outflow pathway, retinas, and pterygium) is a complex tissue responsible for maintaining intraocular homeostasis or mediating ocular pathogenesis. Dysfunction of one or more resident cell types within the tissues results in different ocular disorder, leading to vision loss, or even blindness. In this study, we aim to use single-cell RNA sequencing to generate a comprehensive cell atlas of surgically-harvested eye tissues.
The purpose of this study is to prospectively analyze changes in macular pigment optical density and dermal carotenoid levels as they relate to visual field function in patients prescribed a macular pigment-containing medical food (Lumega-Z), in combination with a topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor.
There is a lack of evidence on the impact of switching from a combined preserved anti-glaucoma regimen to a preservative-free (PF) one, while employing sufficiently robust OSD metrics. The investigators have therefore carried out a single center, prospective, crossover investigation to compare the 6-month effect of switching well controlled open-angle glaucoma patients with at least moderate glaucoma therapy-related ocular surface disease from preserved to triple preservative-free therapy with and without cyclosporine 0.1% dosed in the evening.
Purpose: To assess the safety and efficacy of Viscotrabeculotomy Versus trabeculectomy with MMC for the management of medically uncontrolled steroid induced glaucoma. Patients and methods: A retrospective review of 86 eyes of 67 patients with medically uncontrolled SIG who underwent either viscotrabeculotomy (VT) or trabeculectomy with MMC (Trab-MMC) at Mansoura Ophthalmic Center (Mansoura, Egypt) between January 2008, and December 2017 was conducted. Keywords: Steroid induced glaucoma, trabeculectomy, trabeculotomy and MMC.
The aim of the study is to identify clinical criteria, easily achievable with patient's follow-up tests, which can identify individuals at increased risk of being unfit to drive. Only they, then, will be directed to further investigations. These clinical standards should also be suitable for implementing or substituting the current law's criteria, after appropriate additional studies, so that the law can be based on the clinic.
