NCT ID: NCT00071929 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Oxaliplatin in Treating Patients With Persistent or Recurrent Endometrial Cancer

Start date: November 1999
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of oxaliplatin in treating patients who have persistent or recurrent endometrial cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00064025 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Medroxyprogesterone in Treating Patients With Endometrioid Adenocarcinoma of the Uterine Corpus

Start date: October 2003
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Hormone therapy using medroxyprogesterone may be effective in treating endometrioid cancer. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well medroxyprogesterone works in treating patients with endometrioid adenocarcinoma (cancer) of the uterine corpus (the body of the uterus, not including the cervix).

NCT ID: NCT00053794 Completed - Sarcoma Clinical Trials

Perifosine in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Locally Advanced Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Start date: June 9, 2003
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of perifosine in treating patients who have metastatic or locally advanced soft tissue sarcoma.

NCT ID: NCT00052312 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Doxorubicin and Cisplatin With or Without Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced, Metastatic, and/or Relapsed Endometrial Cancer

Start date: September 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known whether doxorubicin and cisplatin are more effective with or without paclitaxel in treating endometrial cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II trial to compare the effectiveness of combining doxorubicin and cisplatin with or without paclitaxel in treating patients who have locally advanced, metastatic, and/or relapsed endometrial cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00033605 Completed - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Octreotide in Preventing Diarrhea in Patients Who Are Undergoing Radiation Therapy to the Pelvis

Start date: April 2002
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Octreotide may be effective in preventing or controlling diarrhea in patients who are undergoing radiation therapy to the pelvis. It is not yet known whether octreotide is effective for diarrhea. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to determine the effectiveness of octreotide in preventing diarrhea in patients who are undergoing radiation therapy to the pelvis.

NCT ID: NCT00033358 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Hormone Therapy in Preventing Endometrial Cancer in Patients With a Genetic Risk For Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colon Cancer

Start date: February 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Randomized phase II trial to compare two different hormone therapy regimens in preventing endometrial cancer in women who have a genetic risk for hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer. Hormone therapy may prevent the development of endometrial cancer in women with a genetic risk for hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer. It is not yet known which hormone therapy regimen is more effective in preventing endometrial cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00032162 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Liposomal Doxorubicin and Carboplatin in Treating Patients With Gynecologic Cancer

Start date: August 2001
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of combining liposomal doxorubicin with carboplatin in treating patients who have gynecologic cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00030485 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Erlotinib in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced and/or Metastatic Endometrial Cancer

Start date: January 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Biological therapies such as erlotinib may interfere with the growth of tumor cells and slow the growth of the tumor. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to determine the effectiveness of erlotinib in treating patients who have locally advanced and/or metastatic endometrial cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00025467 Completed - Clinical trials for Endometrial Adenocarcinoma

Thalidomide in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Persistent Endometrial Cancer

Start date: September 2001
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of thalidomide in treating patients who have recurrent or persistent endometrial cancer. Thalidomide may stop the growth of cancer by stopping blood flow to the tumor
