NCT ID: NCT01122667 Completed - Dyslipidemia Clinical Trials

Pharmacokinetics of Anacetrapib (MK0859) in Subjects With Impaired Renal Function (MK-0859-038)

Start date: June 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the Area Under the Curve (AUC(0 to infinity)) of anacetrapib in subjects with impaired renal function and healthy matched control subjects.

NCT ID: NCT01114490 Completed - Dyslipidemia Clinical Trials

Pharmacokinetics of Anacetrapib (MK0859) in Patients With Hepatic Insufficiency (MK-0859-039)

Start date: May 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the Area Under the Curve (AUC(0 to infinity)) of anacetrapib.

NCT ID: NCT01113099 Completed - Diabetes Clinical Trials

Improving Adherence to Prescribing Guidelines for Cholesterol Lowering in Hospitalized Diabetic Patients

Start date: June 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

We hypothesize that when compared to usual care a greater proportion of hospitalized diabetic patients who are candidates for cholesterol lowering will be discharged with a prescription for a statin if their physicians are contacted by a pharmacist to discuss treatment guidelines.

NCT ID: NCT01112423 Completed - Dyslipidemia Clinical Trials

Safety Study of BMS-823778 in Subjects With Hypercholesterolemia

Start date: June 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability and pharmacodynamic effects on LDL cholesterol (LDL-C)

NCT ID: NCT01105975 Completed - Dyslipidemia Clinical Trials

A Study of LY2484595 in Patients With High LDL-C or Low HDL-C

Start date: April 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of your participation in this study is to help answer the following research question(s) - Whether LY2484595 in combination with a statin drug (atorvastatin, simvastatin or rosuvastatin; currently used to treat abnormal fat or cholesterol in blood) improves the blood fat profile more than statins alone. - Whether LY2484595 alone improves blood fats profile compared to sugar pills. - Whether LY2484595 interferes with break down or functioning of statins. - Whether LY2484595 has any side effects that would not support testing it in future studies.

NCT ID: NCT01105598 Completed - Mild Dyslipidemia Clinical Trials

A Multiple Ascending Dose Study of ETC-1002 in Subjects With Mild Dyslipidemia

Start date: April 20, 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This Phase 1, double-blind (sponsor open) study will assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of multiple doses of ETC-1002 given to subjects with mild dyslipidemia.

NCT ID: NCT01104519 Completed - Dyslipidemia Clinical Trials

A Study of Niaspan on Endothelium-Dependent and Endothelium-Independent Vascular Reactivity (0000-093)

Start date: March 2008
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

A study to evaluate the inter- and intra subject variabilities of flow-mediated dilation (FMD) of brachial artery and nitroglycerin (GTN) induced dilation of brachial artery.

NCT ID: NCT01103921 Completed - Metabolic Syndrome Clinical Trials

The Metabolic Effects of Consuming Sugar-Sweetened Beverages for Two Weeks

DRS
Start date: October 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages on blood triglycerides and cholesterol, cholesterol concentrations, and the body's sensitivity to insulin.

NCT ID: NCT01101763 Completed - Dyslipidemia Clinical Trials

A Study of the Kinetics of a 13C-Cholesterol Infusate in Healthy Male Subjects (0000-108)(COMPLETED)

Start date: August 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This is a 2-part pilot study in healthy male subjects to evaluate plasma enrichment kinetics of [13C3,4]-cholesterol (Part I) and to assess the test-retest reproducibility (Part II) of Reverse Cholesterol Transport (RCT) measurements. The study will determine whether atom percent enrichment (% APE) at 18 hours can be extrapolated from the steady-state value and whether the mean difference in repeat Ra measurements is below is a prespecified level.

NCT ID: NCT01101204 Not yet recruiting - Diabetes Clinical Trials

The Effects of Hypolipemic and Antidiabetic Treatment on Cytokines

MSF
Start date: July 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study is planned to show whether combined hypolipemic and antidiabetic therapy with various daily dosages influence the fasting plasma glucose, insulin sensitivity and proinflammatory cytokines in diabetic and dyslipidemic subjects.
