We also want to find out if by improving their balance the children increase their participation in age appropriate activities.
The primary objective of this study is to assess the presence of amyloid in non-demented/functionally stable adults with DS as a function of age, dividing the sample into amyloid-positive and amyloid-negative groups. We will also obtain baseline cognitive measures across a range of areas that are often affected by AD.

This phase I trial is studying the side effects, best way to give, and best dose of Akt inhibitor MK2206 (MK2206) in treating patients with recurrent or refractory solid tumors or leukemia. MK2206 may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
This partially randomized phase III trial studies the side effects of different combinations of risk-adapted chemotherapy regimens and how well they work in treating younger patients with newly diagnosed standard-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia or B-lineage lymphoblastic lymphoma that is found only in the tissue or organ where it began (localized). Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy), giving the drugs in different doses, and giving the drugs in different combinations may kill more cancer cells.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether an interactive education program for prenatal testing is effective in improving pregnant women's understanding of and expectations towards prenatal screening and diagnosis.
This study may provide information that may serve as the foundation for a larger research study to address issues regarding the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis in the Down syndrome patient population.
