NCT ID: NCT06243731 Not yet recruiting - Kidney Failure Clinical Trials

A Study of Maribavir in Adults With Kidney Failure Who Have a Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Infection After Transplantation

Start date: May 30, 2025
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main aim of this study is to assess the safety profile of maribavir when treating refractory cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection after transplantation in adults with kidneys that are no longer functioning on their own (also called end-stage renal disease or ESRD) or have severe chronic kidney disease requiring artificial filtering of the kidney (dialysis) or the blood (hemodialysis). In this study, already existing data will be collected from the participant's medical records. The study will only review data collected as part of the normal clinical routine and will not impact the standard medical care and treatment of participants.

NCT ID: NCT06213974 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)

A Study of Maribavir in Adults With Post-transplant Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Infection in Argentina

Start date: June 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main aim of this study is to learn about the safety of Maribavir in adults with post-transplant cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in routine clinical practice in Argentina. The other aim is to study the effectiveness of the treatment with Maribavir in routine clinical practice in Argentina. Participants will be treated by their doctors according to normal medical practice. Study data will be collected either from information already available in the medical records or during study conduct.

NCT ID: NCT05576805 Completed - Clinical trials for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)

A Study on Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Infection Outcomes Among Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) Participants in Europe and Canada

Start date: June 19, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main aim of the study is to assess the clinical outcomes of current CMV management across different regions of the world (Europe [EU] and Canada [CAN]). Data will be collected retrospectively from medical charts. No study medicines will be provided to participants in this study.

NCT ID: NCT05571137 Completed - Clinical trials for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)

A Study on Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Infection Outcomes Among Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) Participants in Europe and Canada

Start date: May 31, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main aim of the study is to assess the clinical outcomes of current CMV management across different regions of the world (Europe [EU] and Canada [CAN]). Data will be collected retrospectively from medical charts. No study medicines will be provided to participants in this study.

NCT ID: NCT05319353 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)

A Study to Evaluate the Safety and Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics, and Antiviral Activity of Maribavir for the Treatment of Children and Teenage Transplant Recipients With CMV Infection

Start date: November 13, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The main aim of this study is to find out the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics (PK) of maribavir for the treatment of CMV infection in children and teenagers after HSCT or SOT and to identify the optimal dose of maribavir using a 200 milligrams (mg) adult tablet formulation or other formulation based on PK modeling. The participants will be treated with maribavir for 8 weeks. Participants need to visit their doctor during 12-week follow-up period.

NCT ID: NCT05137717 Completed - Clinical trials for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)

A Study of Maribavir in Japanese People With Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Infection

Start date: December 23, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The main aim of the study is to check if treatment with maribavir can protect Japanese people against Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection, and to check side effect from the study treatment and how much maribavir participants can take without getting side effects from it. Japanese recipients of a hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) or solid organ transplant (SOT) will take Maribavir tablets two times a day for 8 weeks in this study. During the study, participants will visit their study clinic 18 times as a maximum.

NCT ID: NCT02931539 Completed - Clinical trials for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)

Efficacy and Safety Study of Maribavir Treatment Compared to Investigator-assigned Treatment in Transplant Recipients With Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Infections That Are Refractory or Resistant to Treatment With Ganciclovir, Valganciclovir, Foscarnet, or Cidofovir

Start date: December 22, 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of maribavir to investigator-assigned anti-Cytomegalovirus (CMV) therapy in CMV viremia clearance in transplant recipients who are refractory or resistant to prior anti-CMV treatment.

NCT ID: NCT02927067 Completed - Clinical trials for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)

A Study of Maribavir Compared to Valganciclovir to Treat Cytomegalovirus Infections in People Who Have Received Stem Cell Transplants

Start date: April 14, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is about treatment options for cytomegalovirus infections in people who have received stem cell transplants. The main aim of the study is to check if the cytomegalovirus infection can no longer be detected after treatment with marivabir or valganciclovir. Participants will take 2 tablets of marivabir or valganciclovir and 2 tablets of placebo twice a day for 8 weeks. A placebo will look like marivabir or valganciclovir but will not have any medicine in it. After treatment, each participant will be followed up for up to 12 weeks. Participants will visit their study clinic up to 18 times during the study.

NCT ID: NCT02775240 Completed - Clinical trials for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)

Study of SHP620 (Maribavir) in Healthy Adults

Start date: July 21, 2016
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine how an investigational treatment (maribavir) is handled by the body when administered with two already approved drugs (digoxin and dextromethorphan). The study will also look at the safety and tolerability when maribavir is coadministered with digoxin and dextromethorphan versus digoxin and dextromethorphan alone.
