NCT ID: NCT02235324 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Recurrent Rectal Cancer

Ziv-Aflibercept Followed by Ziv-Aflibercept, Fluorouracil, and Leucovorin Calcium in Treating Patients With Stage IV Colorectal Cancer

Start date: March 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies how long it takes colorectal cancer resistant to standard treatment to grow while receiving treatment with ziv-aflibercept, and how well adding fluorouracil and leucovorin calcium to ziv-aflibercept works in treating patients with stage IV colorectal cancer after they progress on ziv-aflibercept alone. Ziv-aflibercept may stop the growth of colorectal cancer by blocking the formation of tumor blood vessels. Fluorouracil and leucovorin calcium are drugs used in chemotherapy. Fluorouracil works to stop the growth of tumors cells by preventing the cells from growing and dividing. Leucovorin calcium helps fluorouracil work better. Adding fluorouracil and leucovorin calcium to ziv-aflibercept may be an effective treatment for patients who progress on ziv-aflibercept alone.

NCT ID: NCT02050009 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Recurrent Ovarian Epithelial Cancer

Metformin Hydrochloride, Carboplatin, and Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With Recurrent Ovarian, Fallopian Tube, or Primary Peritoneal Cancer

Start date: n/a
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best way to give metformin hydrochloride, carboplatin, and paclitaxel in treating patients with recurrent ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as metformin hydrochloride, carboplatin, and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing.

NCT ID: NCT01492920 Withdrawn - Pain Clinical Trials

Acetyl-L-Carnitine Hydrochloride in Preventing Peripheral Neuropathy in Patients With Recurrent Ovarian Epithelial Cancer, Primary Peritoneal Cavity Cancer, or Fallopian Tube Cancer Undergoing Chemotherapy

Start date: April 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized phase III trial studies how well acetyl-L-carnitine hydrochloride works compared to a placebo in preventing peripheral neuropathy in patients with recurrent ovarian epithelial cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, or fallopian tube cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Acetyl-L-carnitine hydrochloride may prevent or lessen peripheral neuropathy caused by chemotherapy. It is not yet known whether acetyl-L-carnitine hydrochloride is more effective compared to a placebo in preventing peripheral neuropathy caused by chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT01403103 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the Rectum

Cholecalciferol(25-[OH]-Vitamin D) in Treating Patients With Colorectal Cancer

Start date: April 2012
Phase: Phase 0
Study type: Interventional

This pilot clinical trial studies cholecalciferol in treating patients with colorectal cancer. The use of cholecalciferol may slow disease progression in patients with colorectal cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00053235 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Stage IV Ovarian Cancer

Research Study in Patients With Advanced Ovarian Epithelial Cancer

Start date: November 2002
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This research trial studies tissue samples from patients with ovarian cancer in the laboratory. Analyzing tissue samples from patients in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about cancer.
