Filter by:Acute and chronic cardiovascular complications of pneumonia are common and result from various mechanisms, including relative ischemia, systemic inflammation, and pathogen-mediated injury. However, there is only limited published data regarding on cardiovascular desease (CV) submissions in the wake of viral outbreaks. Data collected during the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted a number of possible determinants of adverse outcome in these patients, particularly with reference to cardio-respiratory complications.
Preliminary data support a possible molecular mimicry between SARS-CoV-2 and autologous components. This suggests the occurrence of autoimmunity during COVID-19. Consistently, autoimmunity may occur after SARS-CoV2 vaccination. The study aims to investigate the production of autoantibodies after vaccination in healtcare workers.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about, test, and compare JCXH-221 in healthy volunteers. The main aims to answer are: - To assess the safety and tolerability of the JCXH-221 vaccine in healthy adult subjects - To identify an optimal dose for the JCXH-221 vaccine in healthy adult subjects - To assess the humoral immunogenicity of the JCXH-221 vaccine in healthy adult subjects - To characterize the cellular immunogenicity of the JCXH-221 vaccine in healthy adult subjects Participants for Phase I will be randomized to either JCXH-221 or placebo. In Phase 2, participants will be randomized to either JCXH-221 or a FDA approved Active comparator.
The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to evaluate the telemedicine practices for contraceptive counseling given to pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does family planning counseling given to pregnant women by using telemedicine practices have an effect on the knowledge level about family planning? - Is family planning counseling given to pregnant women by using telemedicine practices effective on satisfaction with family planning services? Participants have attended to contraceptive counseling video call sessions provided via WhatsApp application and they have the opportunity to see the consultant and her materials during these sessions. After these sessions (two weeks later), contraceptive counseling video call session has been repeated, and at the end of this second session, women have been asked to answer the questions in the "Family Planning Knowledge Level Form" and the "Family Planning Services Satisfaction Scale". There is a comparison group (a control group) in this study, and no intervention was made to the women in the control group other than the routine services given in primary care settings. Researchers will compare the experimental group with control group to see if the telemedicine practices are effective in increasing the knowledge level of pregnant women about family planning and in the satisfaction of family planning services provided by primary health care settings.
: adherence to preventive control measures is influenced by perception, attitudes and practices toward the disease prevention.
Anaesthesia and anesthesiologist from the very beginning has obtained "Behind the screen" role. This is of great concern as the field of Anesthesiology has expanded its services to various specialities like intensive care, postoperative pain management, labour analgesia, accident and trauma management, casualty etc. the role assigned to the anesthesiologist remains inaccurate even during COVID 19 pandemic. The aim of this study was to evaluate general publics' perception about anesthesiologist& anesthesia in operating and especially intensive care units during COVID 19 pandemic.
To further characterize Long COVID-19 by collecting data from individuals who already own wearable devices or are provided with a wearable device along with basic and enhanced educational materials to determine if both can improve Long COVID-19 symptom management and post-exertional malaise.
This study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells Therapy for COVID-19.
A major issue brought about by the current pandemic concerns the discontinuation of a large proportion of outpatient services provided locally, especially in the rehabilitation field. Added to this situation is the ever-increasing demand for rehabilitation for post-COronaVIrus Disease 19 (COVID-19) patients. Data show that respiratory and motor rehabilitation for people infected with COVID-19 is necessary at all stages of the disease, even in the medium to long term after discharge from acute hospital care. Also to be taken into account are the logistical difficulties imposed by restrictions on the movement of individuals within the territory for both patients and caregivers, which are amplified in remote or poorly served areas, such as many cross-border territories. In this context, telerehabilitation can provide solutions to assist healthcare facilities in managing the demand for rehabilitation in the territory using a 'digital' therapist. The main objective of this project is therefore to identify the appropriate technology to administer the rehabilitation programme to patients and apply to a group of post-COVID-19 patients a customised respiratory and/or motor rehabilitation programme to be carried out directly at the patients' home after hospital discharge in order to evaluate its effects.
The goal of this clinical trial is to develop a comprehensive mental health counseling program purposed to address the social determinant of health impacts of the coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19). The main questions the investigators aim to answer are: 1) What are the mental and social determinant of health impacts of a COVID-19 diagnosis, and 2) What are the impacts of a counseling program implemented to address those impacts? Participants will participate in individual interviews, attend individual and group counseling, and be provided resources related to their social determinants of health needs.
