Filter by:The aim of this study is to analyze the perceptions, representations and experiences of septic isolation of patients hospitalized for COVID-19 infection. This analysis could lead to better understanding and communication between the medical profession and patients in septic isolation in hospital. It would also provide patient-specific responses to their expectations, as to their families.
The purpose of the study is to determine if high dose Intravenous IVIG plus SMT can reduce the proportion of participants dying or requiring intensive care unit (ICU) admission on or before Day 29 or who are dependent on high flow oxygen devices or invasive mechanical ventilation on Day 29 versus SMT alone in hospitalized participants with COVID-19.
In COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit due to respiratory failure, lung ultrasonography will be tried to be given an appropriate position that will effectively use lung capacity and its effect on oxygenation will be investigated.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of a non-invasive olfactory device as a rapid indicator of COVID-19 in positive subjects.
The pregnancy related pro-thrombotic state, in addition to the COVID-19 associated hypercoagulability may have unknown consequences to the developing fetus. Hence, this proposal seeks to address this question that may have important implications for women that contract this virus during gestation.
The goals of this clinical study are to learn more about the study drug, remdesivir, and how safe it is in participants less than 18 years old with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The purpose of this study is to learn more about the acute response to infection with and recovery from the virus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Some people know this virus by the name "coronavirus." It can cause the disease called COVID-19. The information gained from the study can be used to help develop better tests for SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 disease and may help in developing future vaccines, other prevention strategies, and treatments.
This is a randomized controlled trial of isolated patients with diabetes admitted to Nordsjællands Hospital with or without COVID-19-pneumonia. A continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) based system with transmission of glucose data to a central system is used for remote monitoring of glucose levels and compared to standard finger-prick glucose. Blinded (to patients) CGM is mounted in the finger-prick group.
France and especially the region "Grand Est" have been damaged by the COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic resulted in a reorganization of the hospitalization sectors. In order to better understand the disease, the investigators wish to carry out a descriptive analysis of hospitalized patient data. This study would notably allow us to identify some prognostic factors. The main objective of this study is to identify individual factors that are associated with a poor prognosis (with ICU admission or death).
To limit the pandemic Covid-19 infection, the French government imposed a closure of all Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The family's visitations are prohibited during active Covid -19 pandemic in 2020 and in 2021. This restrictive visit policy could result in an increase in symptoms of anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder for relatives of ICU patients. The aim of this study is to compare symptoms of anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress for relatives of ICU patients during Covid period with those during no Covid period (2020 and 2021) with those no Covid period (2022)
