Filter by:The study will be conducted in two phases using a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled design. A phase II trial will be initiated to assess the safety of LYB001 as booster shots, and then proceed to a phase III trial to assess the vaccine efficacy (VE) of LYB001 against COVID-19 after an acceptable safety profile, per the judgement of Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB), within 28 days after booster in the phase Ⅱ trial is assessed. After collection of 155 COVID-19 cases, all participants will get unblinded. Participants assigned to the placebo group can choose to receive LYB001 vaccine at their own discretion. Phase II stage: The purpose of phase Ⅱ study is to assess the safety of healthy subjects aged 18 years and older who have completed two-dose or three-dose inactivated COVID-19 vaccine for 6-18 months. About 200 age s-stratified subjects aged over 18 years will be randomly assigned to receive the LYB001 or placebo in a 1:1 ratio in the deltoid muscle of the upper arm. The Phase III study will be initiated after the DSMB confirm that all subjects in Phase II experience acceptable safety profile within 28 days after booster. All subjects in Phase II trial will be required to complete efficacy follow-ups for 12 months along with safety observation, and will be included in the Phase III efficacy analysis set (Phase II data will eventually be combined with Phase III data for statistical analysis, including efficacy and safety data). Phase III stage: A total of 17800 participants aged 18 years and older who have completed two-dose or three-dose inactivated COVID-19 vaccine for 6-18 months. The participants will be randomly assigned to the LYB001 booster or placebo booster group in 1:1 ratio according stratification factors of study center and age (18-59 years vs. ≥60 years) , with participants aged ≥ 60 years accounting for over 20 percent of total population. After booster vaccination, all subjects will be evaluated for protective efficacy and safety, and 1000 subjects (800 subjects aged 18-59 years, and 200 subjects aged ≥60 years) will be enrolled in the subgroup for immunogenicity evaluation (LYB001: Placebo=1:1). All subjects will be followed up to 12 months after booster vaccination. The entire clinical study will be completed after the pre-defined COVID-19 cases has been achieved and each participant has completed 12-month follow-ups.

Primary: The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of Nitric Oxide Nasal Spray combined with standard supportive care compared with standard supportive care alone in adult subjects with COVID-19 not requiring hospitalization Secondary: The secondary objective is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of Nitric Oxide Nasal Spray combined with standard supportive care compared with standard supportive care alone in adult subjects with COVID-19 not requiring hospitalization.
The aim of the present study is to answer the question of whether a rehabilitation measure has a positive effect on fatigue symptoms, physical performance, and the physical and psychological well-being of the patients. In particular, the fatigue that occurs in most of all patients is of interest here. In order to make this measurable, the FAS questionnaire plays a special role, which should be completed by all 100 patients upon inclusion in the study and upon discharge from the rehabilitation clinic. In addition, the HADS-D questionnaire (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale) for self-assessment of depressive symptoms and anxiety symptoms and the SF-12 questionnaire (Short Form Health Survey) are used as a screening tool to assess health-related quality of life. For the clinical examination of physical performance, the six-minute walk test, a body plethysmography and a long-term ECG are performed on recruited patients on admission and before discharge. In a three-month follow-up, all recruited patients should receive an FAS, HADS-D and SF-12 questionnaire to fill out. Some of these will also be called back to the clinic to check the development of lung function or performance, defined on the basis of VO2max, and will undergo an additional spiroergometric examination. Thus, the effectiveness and effectiveness of the rehabilitation measures in patients under long-COVID is checked.
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease where the body is unable to metabolize carbohydrates properly either due to a lack of insulin production or abnormal insulin function. In recent times, it has been considered a global healthcare concern because of its high prevalence rate (9.2 %) and other associated health consequences. After being infected with Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19), the Type 2 Diabetes mellitus (T2DM) sufferer experiences the following symptoms; reduced exercise tolerance, decreased muscle strength, altered respiratory functions, cognitive impairments and abnormal psychosomatic behaviour, which affects the overall well-being of the patient. To prevent or delay these clinical features and the associated consequences of type 2 Diabetes mellitus, the regular body works out and physical training is suggested either alone or in combination with diet modification. In this study, we tested the hypothesis that 12 months of supervised tele-physical therapy can positively influence patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus following COVID-19 infection. The reports of the study would be helpful for the clinicians and the physical therapists to make this as evidence for using tele-physical therapy in type 2 Diabates mellitus patients.
Using detailed serial cross-sectional estimates of the age-specific distribution of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant-specific antibody positivity levels, we derived age-specific infection attack rates and age-specific population immunity levels and tracked the magnitude of individual-level and population-level waning immunity over time. Our findings will inform health policy makers on devising future public health and social measures and vaccination guidance in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
A retrospective cohort study of Differential Attainment, COVID and Chaos: taking the difference out of a terrible trinity
This clinical trial adopts a randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled design. A total of 16000 participants are planned to be enrolled, of which, Cohort 1: 15000 participants vaccinated with ≥2 doses of inactivated COVID-19 vaccine for ≥6 months will be randomly administered at ratio of 1:1:1 with 1 dose of LIBP-Rec-Vaccine, BIBP-Rec-Vaccine or placebo intramuscularly to the deltoid muscle of upper arm. Cohort 2: 1000 participants vaccinated with ≥2 doses of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine for ≥6 months will be randomly administered at ratio of 1:1 with 1 dose of LIBP-Rec-Vaccine or BIBP-Rec-Vaccine intramuscularly to the deltoid muscle of upper arm.
