There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-arm, Phase 3 study of BLU-5937 in participants with Refractory Chronic Cough (RCC).
The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) in patients with Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) with Reduced Disc Displacement, by comparing it with standard treatment. Scientific Basis and Validity of Medical Research: Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMR) are disorders that can cause pain in the head and neck region, limitation in mouth opening, and difficulties even in daily activities (eating, speaking, chewing, yawning, etc.). These disorders have various causes such as malocclusion, emotional stress, parafunctional habits, synovitis, capsulitis, osteoarthritis and intra-articular irregularities. Almost 25% of the world's population has TMJ intra-articular irregularities and these are usually treated with non-surgical methods. If these methods are not successful, surgical treatments are generally used. These non-surgical treatments include many physical therapy interventions such as occlusal splints, medical treatments, bite plates, ultrasound and subcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, and low-level laser therapies. With these intraorally used occlusal splints, a balanced occlusal contact is achieved without applying any force to the mandible in the resting position. Occlusal splints are available in different designs and different construction materials. The stabilization splint, which is one of the most commonly used occlusal splints, and the modified Hawley splint are appliances produced from hard materials. However, some researchers have commented that soft spints produced from resilient materials may also be useful in the distribution of excessive force formed in parafunctional habits. While there are studies stating that hard splints provide more successful results than soft splints in the functional problems of the chewing system, there are also studies reporting that they have similar efficacy on muscle pain after short-term use. Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT), another physical therapy modality, used in the treatment of various joint and muscle pains; it is an advantageous treatment modality that is non-invasive, well tolerated by patients and has few side effects. This modality is also used in diseases of the TMJ and masticatory muscles in various sources. The availability of different non-standard treatment regimens and the few studies on the short-term results of ESWT applications make the use of ESWT in the treatment of TMJ diseases still unclear and new studies are needed.
There were many studies in the literature discussing the effects of vitamin D deficiency and the role of vitamin D supplementation in SARS-CoV-2 patients. Combined with the possible impact of vitamin D on the pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 infection, it is concluded that VDBP-regulated bioavailable and free vitamin D concentrations modulate the human immune system response to viral infections. Because of the gap in the literature, it was emphasized that studies should focus on vitamin D binding protein (VDBP) and gene polymorphism. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the relationship between SARS-CoV-2 infection severity and free and bioavailable vitamin D levels.
Many active and passive rehabilitation programs are applied in the rehabilitation processes after flexor tendon repair. There is no clear rehabilitation program accepted by the whole world. An accurate understanding of these injuries at the histological and biomechanical level is necessary to improve rehabilitation outcomes. Mechanical properties of tendons, such as their viscoelasticity, are affected by the increase in stiffness caused by the rupture, repair, and healing process. Previous studies have shown that the mechanical properties of a repaired tendon, such as stiffness, material properties and functionality of tendon tissue Shear-wave elastography can detect pathological changes in tendinopathy before they are visible on conventional Ultrasonography imaging. In addition, shear wave elastography allows the evaluation of quantitative measurements and is considered more objective because it provides reproducible results. Our aim in this study is to evaluate the changes in the mechanical properties of the hand flexor tendons repaired using shear wave elastography (SWE) during the rehabilitation process and natural process and their effect on functionality.
The goal of this observational study is to learn about the effects of total intravenous general anesthesia with target controlled infusion and sevoflurane based balanced general anesthesia on hemodynamic parameters and cardiac enzyme levels in patients undergoing total abdominal hysterectomy.
The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of chair-based yoga with rehabilitation on quality of life is affected in elderly people. Depending on the changes in the body as a result of aging, people's quality of life is affected. In order to increase or protect the quality of life in elderly people, telerehabilitation practices are emphasized. Telerehabilitation is a promising system for the elderly thanks to its advantages. As a practice, chair-based yoga, a modified form of yoga, was preferred. Chair-based yoga makes yoga more doable and safe for older people. Chair-based yoga with telerehabilitation was performed with the participants. Pain level, sleep status, functional capacity, quality of life, mental health and depression were followed by evaluations at the beginning and end of the process.
This research was planned to determine the effect of two different methods on infant pain during vaccination and mother anxiety. The study was planned as a randomized controlled trial. The universe of this research consists of parents and their babies who come to Hocabey Family Health Center in Erzincan Center to receive the hepatitis B dose between these dates according to the vaccination calendar. In this study, it is planned to apply shotblocker and lullaby.
The clinical progress of the patients whose mobilization the investigators follow up with wearable technology products will be observed in the early postoperative period until discharge. In this way, the investigators primarily aim to examine whether the bowel movements of our more mobilized patients return earlier.
The aim of this study is to compare the sitting and standing postural stability of transfemoral individuals with healthy individuals with similar demographic characteristics.
This study aimed to develop a training program for the empowerment of newly graduated nurses and to evaluate the effectiveness of this program. The training program designed to empower newly graduated nurses is based on the theories of "structural empowerment" and "psychological empowerment." The training program consists of two parts: face-to-face theoretical training and online training. To evaluate the effectiveness of the training program to be developed for the empowerment of newly graduated nurses, the research was planned as a single-center, parallel-group randomized controlled study, following the Consolidated Reporting Trials Standards (CONSORT) guidelines. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Is there a difference between the structural empowerment perception levels of the experimental group nurses who received the empowerment training program and the control group nurses who went through the routine orientation program? 2. Is there a difference between the psychological empowerment perception levels of the experimental group nurses who received the empowerment training program and the control group nurses who went through the routine orientation program? The research population will be newly graduated nurses (12 months or less of experience) working at Koç University Hospital. Experimental and control groups are expected to apply questionnaires including the "Introductory Information Questionnaire, Empowerment Information Evaluation Questionnaire, Nursing Structural Empowerment Scale, and Psychological Empowerment Scale" as a pre-test. Nurses in the control and experimental groups will receive the routine practices of the institution. The training program developed in addition to the experimental group will be applied. Six months after the training, the experimental and control groups are expected to apply the questionnaires, including the Nursing Structural Empowerment Scale, the Psychological Empowerment Scale, and the Empowerment Information Evaluation Questionnaire as a post-test.
