There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The goal of this 12-week clinical trial is to investigate the effectiveness of different exercise types in treating Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) and to explore their impact on myokine levels associated with lipid metabolism. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. How does the type and dose of exercise affect the treatment of NAFLD? 2. What is the influence of exercise interventions in NAFLD treatment on myokine levels related to lipid metabolism? 3. How does motivational interviewing contribute to lifestyle modification in the treatment of NAFLD? Participants in this study will engage in assigned exercise routines randomly, including HIIT, resistance training, or FATmax exercises. Additionally, motivational interviewing techniques will be employed to assess their impact on lifestyle changes. Researchers will compare the outcomes among the different exercise groups, along with a control group receiving only standard care for NAFLD. This comparison aims to determine the respective effects of these interventions on both NAFLD and associated myokine levels.
The aim of this clinical study is to investigate the clinical performance of a calcium silicate used in the treatment of deep caries lesions. Individuals participating in the research will be selected from patients with at least one deep dentin caries (D3) who apply to the Restorative Dentistry Clinic of Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry. The age range will be range 18-45. The teeth to be restored will be evaluated clinically and radiographically. A rubber dam will be used during the treatment. After the removal of enamel, carious tissue at the lateral walls of cavities will be removed to hard dentin using round and single-use round steel burs operating at low speed in all groups. A reasonable amount of soft carious tissue will be left over the pulp. In test (Calcium silicate) and control(calcium hydroxide) groups, after caries removal, respective material will be applied on the pulpal floor. Then, materials will be sealed by resin-modified glass ionomer cement and permanent restoration will be performed. Evaluation will be conducted after 6, 12, and 18 months.
The goal of this study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of Dostarlimab compared to Placebo in adult participants with HNSCC (Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma)
Body Mass Index (BMI) is thought to impact radiculopathy symptoms. The pressure exerted by fatty tissue on muscle tissue can also significantly affect the nerves. This condition causes radiculopathy. Therefore, high BMI causes an increase in the incidence of radiculopathy. Consequently, it is thought that pain caused by cervical radiculopathy may be related to BMI and affect functionality. Also, it is believed that with the increase in the load on the cervical region, there will be an increase in degenerative disorders and an increase in the incidence of radiculopathy. This study examines the relationship between BMI and peripheral muscle strength, pain, range of motion, disability, quality of life, and functionality in patients with cervical radiculopathy.
This clinical trial aims to compare the effects of lidocaine, dexmedetomidine, esmolol, and magnesium on optic nerve sheath diameter and hemodynamic response to laryngoscopy. The participants will be patients determined to need intubation and general anesthesia for any elective surgery. Each participant will receive either lidocaine, dexmedetomidine, esmolol, magnesium, or none before anesthesia induction, according to randomization. The investigator will measure the optic nerve sheath diameter by ultrasonography before and after intubation. Researchers will compare the difference between optic nerve sheath diameter, systolic blood pressure, and heart rate before and after laryngoscopy and search for the most stable group. The trial aims to determine a general anesthesia induction protocol for patients sensitive to intracranial pressure changes reflected as optic nerve sheath diameter for easy monitoring.
The study will investigate alterations in post-surgical gait patterns among patients who have undergone all arthroscopic repair surgery for the anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) due to ankle instability. The gait biomechanics of patients scheduled for surgery will be assessed preoperatively using pedobarographic analysis. Subsequent changes in walking biomechanics will be evaluated and interpreted at the 3rd and 6th postoperative months. Consequently, the impact of the all arthroscopic anatomical ATFL repair method on walking will be documented.
Comparison of pain conditions in the first 24 hours after surgery in terms of two different analgesia methods
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the use of spoons and oral injectors on the level of fear in children with fever in oral medication administration.
A randomized controlled study will be conducted to evaluate the impact of nursing intervention based on Meleis' Transition Theory on postpartum depression, maternal self-efficacy, and breastfeeding self-efficacy in women who have experienced preterm birth. The postpartum period represents a transitional and adaptive phase for mothers as they embrace a new role. However, the occurrence of preterm birth and the necessity of neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) care for the newborn can initiate emotional distress in mothers, particularly when facing the admission of their infants to the intensive care setting. Consequently, the transition to new roles for mothers becomes challenging. A healthy transition to the maternal role is crucial for mothers who have experienced preterm birth, positively influencing maternal self-efficacy and breastfeeding practices while reducing the likelihood of postpartum depression. Therefore, the transition to motherhood in women with preterm births is of paramount importance for both the mother and the premature infant, warranting careful consideration and discussion. Women who have experienced preterm birth will constitute the population of the study. During the research period, women who have experienced preterm birth and whose infants are admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) will form the population of the study, and the sample will consist of women who consent to participate in the study during the study period. The sample size was estimated using power analysis (G Power 3.1.9.4.) program with a power of (1-β=0.90) and a significance level of (α=0.05), taking into account the mean and standard deviation of a similar study in the literature (Kadiroğlu and Güdücü Tüfekci 2022) (63.53±8.67 for the experimental group; 56.63±9.73 for the control group). The sample size of the study was calculated to be sufficient with a total of 64 women, with 32 women in each group. Considering potential losses during the study process, and in order not to compromise the statistical power of the research, an additional 20% of women were included in the study, resulting in a total of 76 women to be included in the study. Within the scope of the research, data will be obtained through the 'Personal Data Form' containing information about the socio-demographic characteristics of the participating women, as well as the 'Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale,' 'Perceived Maternal Self-Efficacy Scale,' and the 'Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale.
This research was planned to prevent secondary hyperlipidemia, which may occur due to isotretinoin used in the treatment of severe acne, with diet. There will be three different groups and followed for 12 weeks. Groups will be; Mediterranean Diet, Low Cholesterol Diet (<200 mg/day) and the Control Group.
