Individual Molecular MRD Monitoring for MDS Patients After Allo-SCT

Start date: August 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study aims to develop highly sensitive methods for early detection of relapse based on the patients unique mutations. Initially, a mutational screen is being performed. Outcome measures will be assessed individually for each cohort.

NCT ID: NCT02858258 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Mantle Cell Lymphoma

ASCT After a Rituximab/Ibrutinib/Ara-c Containing iNduction in Generalized Mantle Cell Lymphoma

Start date: July 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the the trial is to establish one of three study arms, as future standard based on the comparison of the investigator-assessed failure-free survival.

NCT ID: NCT02857257 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Transplantation of Anaerobic Cultured Human Intestinal Microbiota in Irritable Bowel Syndrome

ACHIM2
Start date: January 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) are treated with microbiota from a human intestinal anaerobic sample cultured for decades. Patients are recruited consecutively with symptoms of IBS and serve as their own controls. After an observation time of 4 weeks, patients are recruited for a 1-week run-in and then given the cultured fecal microbiota by the duodenal route via gastroscopy. Two treatments are given within a 1-week interval. Assessment of symptoms are made before and 4 weeks after the last treatment (at 6 weeks). Additionally, fecal samples are collected for bacterial 16S ribosomal ribonucleic acid (rRNA) analysis and bacterial functional parameters (microflora-associated characteristics).

NCT ID: NCT02845258 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pancreatic Pseudocyst

Treatment of Pancreatic Pseudocysts by Endoscopic Ultrasound-guided Drainage

Start date: January 2006
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Patients may evolve pseudocysts of the pancreas secondary to a severe pancreatitis. In case of a symptomatic or infected pseudocyst, a therapeutic drainage of the cyst is indicated. In modern medicine the preferred way to perform such a drainage is by the means of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). It is not precisely elucidated how this EUS-procedure should be performed in different scenarios. The cyst appearance and the drainage stents and/or technique may impact the clinical outcome. This study is a prospective, single-center observational study on the outcome after EUS-guided drainage of pancreatic pseudocysts.

NCT ID: NCT02844049 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

European Study of Quality of Life in Resistant OCD Patients Treated by STN DBS

EQOLOC
Start date: September 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is among the most disabling psychiatric disorders as more than 40% of patients are resistant to the standard pharmacological and psychotherapy approaches and about 10% show severe disability and require institutionalization. These resistant patients may benefit from new surgical therapeutic approaches such as Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) using high frequency stimulation of specific cerebral regions to modulate neural networks. Although promising, these results need nevertheless to be replicated and confirmed within a larger cohort of patients and considering a different main objective, instead of clinical improvement only. Indeed, despite a positive treatment response, adaptive functioning and quality of life may continue to be negatively impacted in OCD. Thus beyond symptom reduction, health-related quality of life (QoL) represents a more important objective of a treatment, as it includes both the individual's functional status and the individual's subjective perception of the impact of the illness on the patient's life. STN DBS induces significant clinical improvement, which may not be proportional to the QoL gain. Consequently, QoL appears to be a better outcome to target in the coming studies than clinical improvement alone. THe investigators thus propose a prospective study assessing the QoL changes of resistant OCD patients under STN DBS+BMT versus Best Medical Treatment (BMT) at 12 months, in order to assess the DBS induced gain in QoL in BMT-managed patients versus BMT alone.

NCT ID: NCT02829515 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Postoperative Complications

Tonsil Surgery in Sweden: A National Quality Register

NTSRS
Start date: May 2009
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

For the purpose of quality assurance, the Swedish Association for Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck surgery has developed several national registers concerning ear, nose and throat care. One of these is the National Tonsil Surgery Registry in Sweden (NTSRS). In NTSRS patients undergoing tonsil surgery for benign indications are included. Data regarding indication, surgical methods and techniques as well as patient reported outcomes measures are collected. The register is designed to facilitate description of clinical activities in a unit and help identify the need of clinical improvement programs. By compiling national data, the register can be used to describe clinical practice in a large national cohort.

NCT ID: NCT02789735 Recruiting - Pelvic Girdle Pain Clinical Trials

Low Level Laser Therapy in Persistent Pelvic Girdle Pain

Start date: March 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Persistent pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain is common, 2-5% av all women given birth is suffering from disabling daily pain with high impact on quality of life. A prospective double-blinded randomised controlled trial will be performed with a baseline assessment 7-10 months after childbirth with follow-up directly and 6 months after a treatment period with low level laser therapy (LLLT) or sham laser treatment, given at 12 planned treatment sessions during four weeks. 60 women will be included in the study. If LLLT can reduce pain and improve function there will be a new treatment option for this condition.

NCT ID: NCT02784080 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Complication of Transplanted Liver

Donor Specific HLA Alloantibodies in Liver Transplantation

Start date: August 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim is to evaluate the impact of donor specific HLA alloantibodies (DSA) on all-cause mortality and re-transplantation, early allograft dysfunction, acute and chronic rejection, fibrosis, vascular, and biliary complications. Furthermore, all biopsies will be C4d stained. The hypothesizes is that donor specific HLA alloantibodies facilitate an immune mediated damage to the liver allograft that impairs function and lead to various complications. The investigators will do a prospective blinded multicenter cohort study in the Scandiatransplant organ sharing organization region. Both preformed, persistent, and de novo donor specific HLA alloantibodies will studied. Blood samples will be taken immediately prior to transplantation, and 14 days, 3 months, and 1 year after transplantation. All liver biopsies performed during the study period will be evaluated for a humoral component and blood samples will be obtained prior to liver biopsies to investigate the presence of DSA. Investigations will be fully blinded for the treatment responsible doctors.
