NCT ID: NCT03943108 Completed - Childhood Obesity Clinical Trials

Criticality Analysis of Diabetic Gait Within a Primary Care Pediatric Clinic for Obese Children (PAIDOS)

PAIDOS
Start date: June 24, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

One of the difficulties with diabetes care is the problem of predicting progression to more severe stages using current measures (for example blood glucose, HbA1c). This feasibility study aims to use Criticality Analysis (CA) of gait to monitor the progression of the condition as well as identifying individuals at risk of developing diabetes among children in Mexico. The study will investigate whether gait analysis can be used as a fast, reliable and cost effective way to detect individuals at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) as early treatment could reduce the number of cases that develop into full T2DM.

NCT ID: NCT03940586 Completed - Clinical trials for Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Infection

Letermovir Treatment in Pediatric Participants Following Allogeneic Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) (MK-8228-030)

Start date: August 8, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of letermovir (LET) in pediatric participants. Participants will be enrolled in the following 3 age groups: Age Group 1: From 12 to <18 years of age (adolescents); Age Group 2: From 2 to <12 years of age (children); and Age Group 3: From birth to <2 years of age (neonates, infants and toddlers). All participants will receive open label LET for 14 weeks (~100 days) post-transplant, with doses based on body weight and age.

NCT ID: NCT03939481 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Anatomic Stage III Breast Cancer AJCC v8

Treatment Effects on Development of Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy in Patients With Cancer

Start date: May 14, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This trial studies treatment effects on development of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in patients with cancer. Treatments for cancer can cause a problem to the nervous system (called peripheral neuropathy) that can lead to tingling or less feeling in hands and feet. Studying certain risk factors, such as age, gender, pre-existing conditions, and the type of treatment for cancer may help doctors estimate how likely patients are to develop the nerve disorder.

NCT ID: NCT03938792 Active, not recruiting - Hemophilia A Clinical Trials

Study of the Efficacy and Safety PF-06741086 in Adult and Teenage Participants With Severe Hemophilia A or Moderately Severe to Severe Hemophilia B

Start date: March 9, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Treatment with PF-06741086 is anticipated to demonstrate a clinically relevant advantage and/or a major contribution to patient care in comparison to current methods of treatment for hemophilia A or B because it works differently than factor replacement products and will work in the presence of inhibitors. The potential for once weekly (QW) subcutaneous (SC) administration provides for treatment options in the absence of reliable vascular access, increased convenience and may enable better compliance. Combined, these qualities should result in a reduction of bleeding episodes.

NCT ID: NCT03938285 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Kidney Disease Requiring Chronic Dialysis

Effect of Hemodiafiltration Plus MCOs on Uremic Toxins Removal

Start date: May 2, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Conventional hemodialysis is essential for the treatment of ESRD patients by reducing serum concentration of uremic toxins and correcting fluid overload. Nevertheless, HD removes almost exclusively low-range uremic toxins. Convective methods might reduce complications associated to molecules of medium-range molecular weight. On-Line Hemodiafiltration (OL-HDF) is the result of the combination between convection and diffusion, this modality allows better clearence of middle-range molecules, and protein bound molecules with better hemodynamic tolerance, but at higher cost. In order to solve this problem the middle cut-off membranes were developed, achieving cleareance of molecules between 15,000 to 40,000 Da with low albumin loss. To our knowledge no study has ever evaluated the use of middle cut-off membranes on OL-HDF. This is a prospective, experimental study which will include 12 patients with ESRD that receive OL-HDF treatment on the National Institute of Cardiology "Ignacio Chavez" OL-HDF Unit. They will be divided in 4 groups: high flux HD, extended HD (HDx), OL-HDF, and OL-HDF with medium cut-off membrane.

NCT ID: NCT03937219 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

Study of Cabozantinib in Combination With Nivolumab and Ipilimumab in Patients With Previously Untreated Advanced or Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

COSMIC-313
Start date: June 25, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, controlled Phase 3 trial of cabozantinib in combination with nivolumab and ipilimumab versus nivolumab and ipilimumab in combination with matched placebo. Approximately 840 eligible subjects with intermediate- or poor-risk advanced or metastatic RCC by IMDC criteria will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio at approximately 180 sites.
