There are about 7997 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Japan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
To evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of oral dersimelagon.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy in terms of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) changes from baseline for the treatment regimens of 24 weeks of JNJ-73763989 + 24 weeks of nucleos(t)ide analog (NA) + 12 or 24 weeks of pegylated interferon alpha-2a (PegIFN-alpha-2a) (with immediate or delayed start of PegIFN-alpha-2a treatment).
Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific part of body grow and reproduce uncontrollably. Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) is a solid tumor, a disease in which cancer cells form in the tissues of the lung. Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC) is a solid tumor, a disease in which cancer cells form in the tissues of the head and neck. The purpose of this study is to assess adverse events and pharmacokinetics of ABBV-514 as a monotherapy and in combination with Budigalimab. Budigalimab and ABBV-514 are investigational drugs being developed for the treatment of NSCLC, HNSCC, and other solid tumors. Study doctors put the participants in groups called treatment arms. The maximum-tolerated dose (MTD)/maximum administered dose (MAD) of ABBV-514 will be explored. Each treatment arm receives a different dose of ABBV-514 in monotherapy and in combination with Budigalimab. Approximately 268 adult participants will be enrolled in the study across approximately 80 sites worldwide. Participants will receive ABBV-514 as a monotherapy or in combination with Budigalimab as an Intravenous (IV) Infusion for an estimated treatment period of up to 2 years. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
The aim of this study is to look at how the study medicine works in the body and how it is removed from the body. We are testing the study medicine to make a medicine that can help people lower their cholesterol level. Participants will either get 1. NNC0385-0434 (a potential new medicine) in one of three different doses: 15 mg, 40 mg, or 100 mg. 2. placebo (a dummy medicine which looks like the study medicine but without any medicine). Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. NNC0385-0434 is a new medicine and has not been approved by the Health Authorities (Centre for Drug Evaluation). Participants will get 1 tablet per day for 10 days. The tablet will be handed out by a study doctor or site staff at the clinic and the study will last between 62 and 98 days. Participants will have 7 clinic visits. One of these visits will be a 13-day, 12-night stay (V2) and the rest will be 1-day visits (V1 and V3 to V7). At all visits, except the information visit, participants will have blood drawn along with other clinical checks. Participants will be asked about their health, medical history and habits including mental health.
A Phase 2/3 Study of Evorpacept (ALX148) in Combination With Trastuzumab, Ramucirumab, and Paclitaxel in Patients With Advanced HER2-overexpressing gastric/GEJ adenocarcinoma.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability and efficacy of emapalumab in children and adults with macrophage activation syndrome (sHLH/MAS) in Still's disease (including systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis and adult onset Still's disease) or with sHLH/MAS in systemic lupus erythematous, resenting an inadequate response to high dose glucocorticoid treatment.
The aim of this study is to evaluate nedosiran in participants 11 years of age and younger who have Primary Hyperoxaluria with relatively intact renal function.
The specific aim of the study will be to investigate the incidences and risk factors for postoperative delirium (POD) after hip fracture surgery in elderly patients aged ≥ 65 years in five different Southeast and East Asian countries. The secondary objectives are outlined below: 1. To investigate factors in the hospital environments, such as noise levels, ambient lighting, nursing ratios, ward bedding and climate control, that contribute to similarities and/or differences in POD occurrences in different countries and health systems 2. To investigate patient factors, such as disease burden, mental health, education levels, and socioeconomic factors, that contribute to similarities and/or differences in POD occurrences in different countries and health systems 3. To quantify the direct and indirect costs, as well as resource utilization, resulting from the development of POD in each country
This is a phase 1, non-randomized open-label, multicenter platform study designed to evaluate the tolerability and safety of AB122 in patients with malignancies specified in each cohort.
This is a Phase 2/3, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel group, multicenter study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and immunogenicity of ravulizumab in adult participants with dermatomyositis (DM).
