There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Objective: To compare the vNOTES approach versus conventional laparoscopic approach used in elective Salpingo-oophorectomy surgery for benign disease or bilateral salpingectomy for sterilization. Study design: Prospective cohort, randomized controlled trial. Study population: Planned Salpingo-oophorectomy for benign disease or bilateral salpingectomy for sterilization. Primary outcome - Adherence to planned surgical route, intra-operative parameters & complications, post-operative parameters & complications, rate of satisfaction.
A randomized, placebo controlled double-blind, 12-week treatment trial in men with moderate to severe symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. The trail is about to examine the effect of Brizo® on reduction of BPH related symptoms.
This study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of NLC-V in patients diagnosed with COVID-19.
The primary hypothesis is that pembrolizumab/vibostolimab (MK-7684A) in combination with chemotherapy is superior to pembrolizumab in combination with chemotherapy with respect to overall survival (OS) in treatment-naïve metastatic participants with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
The current study seeks to test differences between a single-session large-group format of standard exposure, enhanced exposure, and a control condition in treating anxiety sensitivity. It is hypothesized that 1) participants assigned to either exposure condition will evidence greater reductions in anxiety sensitivity from pre-treatment to posttreatment relative to those in the control condition; 2) participants assigned to the enhanced exposure condition will evidence greater reductions in anxiety sensitivity from pre-treatment to posttreatment relative to those in the standard exposure condition. The investigators will test putative moderators and mechanisms of action. Prior to initiating the study for purposes of data analyses, the investigators will pilot study procedures during Spring 2020.
Detection of the 2019 novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) using breath analysis - Validation study.
This study will evaluate the combination of a fixed dose pembrolizumab/vibostolimab co-formulation (MK-7684A) with etoposide/platinum chemotherapy followed by MK-7684A compared to the combination of atezolizumab with etoposide/platinum chemotherapy followed by atezolizumab in the first-line treatment of Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer (ES-SCLC). The primary hypothesis is, with respect to overall survival, MK-7684A in combination with the background therapy of etoposide/platinum followed by MK-7684A, is superior to atezolizumab in combination with the background therapy of etoposide/platinum followed by atezolizumab.
This prospective, sample collection study will assess different oral and/or nasal sample types collected from patients suspected of suffering from GABHS pharyngitis to conduct research and development on innovative GABHS detection methods specific for each sample type.
Ovarian dermoid cyst, also known as benign mature teratoma, originate from germ cells in the ovary, and is the most common benign ovarian tumor (44-70%). Several reports documented a secretion of NMDA receptor antibodies from dermoid cyst. This receptor is found in different areas in the central nerves system (CNS) and the presence of plasma antibodies has been shown as a rare cause of neurologic presentation term paraneoplastic neurologic syndrome, which can be characterized by mood disorder, psychiatric and neurologic symptoms. In several case reports on young women, first presented with nonspecific neurologic symptoms, then followed by rapid deterioration of conscious, seizures and the need for ventilation support, ovarian teratoma was diagnosed. In 2007 an association between N-Methyl-D-Aspartic acid (NMDA) receptor antibody and encephalitis was first described. More than 50% of paraneoplastic encephalitis were related to teratomas, most often from an ovarian origin. Therapy includes tumor resection, steroids, plasmapheresis and immunosuppressive drugs. The investigators recently published a retrospective cohort study analyzing 233 patients who were operated in their institution with pathology proven dermoid. In this study 2 patients presented with paraneoplastic syndrome (0.85%). No prospective study has been published to date to examine the association between antibody titer and dermoid cyst characteristics and the paraneoplastic phenomenon. The investigators wish to conduct a prospective study in which plasma samples will be obtained from patients asymptomatic for neurologic or psychiatric symptoms, undergoing surgery for ovarian dermoid cyst, due to gynecology indication (e.g size, symptoms) in order to identify antibodies against CNS NMDA-R in their plasma prior to cyst removal. If NMDA receptor antibodies will be discovered in asymptomatic patients it may be prudent to examine all serums of women who are diagnosed with ovarian mature teratoma, and offer a surgical removal in order to prevent a possible neurologic sequela in the presence of these antibodies.
This is an open-label, multicentre study too Evaluate the Safety and Pharmacokinetics of a Modified Tafasitamab IV Dosing Regimen Combined with Lenalidomide (LEN) in Patients with Relapsed or Refractory Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (R/R DLBCL) who have had at least one, but no more than three prior systemic regimens and who are not eligible for high dose chemotherapy (HDC) with autologous stem-cell transplantation (ASCT) at the time of study entry.
