There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Prospective, single-arm, multi-center, interventional post-market study. After signing informed consent, eligible subjects will be implanted with the CE marked Evolut™ PRO system. The investigation purpose is to evaluate the acute and long term clinical performance and safety of Evolut™ PRO in a routine hospital setting in patients with symptomatic native aortic valve stenosis or a stenosed, insufficient, or combined surgical bioprosthetic valve failure necessitating valve replacement within the approved intended use in local geography.
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a common debilitating disorder that affects many individuals exposed to aversive events. The severity of PTSD symptoms is positively correlated with amygdala activation. More severe PTSD symptoms following exposure to stressful events, are associated with amygdala hyper-responsivity prior to exposure. A possible intervention for PTSD is Neurofeedback (NF) - a treatment method based on learned self-modulation of neural activity in response to feedback of neural signal. Previous work in our lab established a NF training procedure that utilizes the temporal abilities of EEG with the spatial advantages of fMRI. Further work based on this method using the amygdala BOLD signal (EEG-finger-print, EFP) has demonstrated a potential for improving the ability to self-regulate amygdala activity and to improve emotional regulation in a healthy population. The current study aims to investigate the potential of this method as a therapeutic intervention for PTSD among women with a history of childhood sexual abuse (CSA).
Glasdegib is being studied in combination with azacitidine for the treatment of adult patients with previously untreated acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are not candidates for intensive induction chemotherapy (Non-intensive AML population). Glasdegib is being studied in combination with cytarabine and daunorubicin for the treatment of adult patients with previously untreated acute myeloid leukemia (Intensive AML population).
Post operative pain (POP) is a major obstacle on the road to healing, despite the increasing interest in postoperative pain management and development of pain control modalities (1). Postoperative pain is still insufficiently treated with more than 50% of patients suffering from moderate to severe pain early after surgery .Pain after orthopedic surgery is considered especially difficult to manage. Approximately half of total knee or hip arthroplasty patients present with extreme pain immediately after surgery. Total knee and hip arthroplasty often results not only in severe perioperative pain and debilitation, but chronic pain, joint stiffness, and functional disability many months or even years following the procedure. Various modalities of treating orthopedic POP exist, but the optimal management of postoperative pain remains controversial with no clear consensus of the best method. We suggest that acupuncture can be an effective treatment for post operative pain after total knee or hip arthroplasty.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of prexasertib in women with platinum-resistant or refractory recurrent ovarian cancer.
The proposed project will be first performed on individuals with HF-ASD with their expected heterogeneity and healthy control (HC) subjects in order to explore the pain processing and modulation mechanisms underlying the pain sensitivity profile of adults with HF-ASD. Secondly, we will focus on individuals with ASD and HC, without ASR (ASD-nonASR, HC-nonASR) and with SHR (ASD-SHR, HC-SHR). This 2X2 factorial design will enable us to determine whether the feature of SHR in individuals with HF-ASD contributes to pain sensitivity. This research project will comprise of two sessions. Session I will include the following tests ADOS-2 for ASD diagnosing (only for individuals with ASD), intelligence quotation testing (IQ Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence® - Second Edition (WASI®-II)107, serving for inclusion criteria. Session II will include familiarization with the researchers and lab, thermal detection threshold testing for small fiber abnormality identification since detection thresholds in some reports found to be abnormal pain threshold testing, and completion of questionnaires (see section 3.6 for details), psychophysical testing and EEG recordings in the following order: i) rEEG recordings; ii) psychophysical pain assessments; simultaneously with iii) neurophysiological pain assessments with pain EPs recorded. Our research protocol will be approved by the Helsinki Committee of the Rambam Health Care Center and The Chaim Sheba Medical Center.
This will be a prospective cohort trial that compares transperineal to transrectal MRI-US fusion prostate biopsy
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical benefit of subcutaneous (SC) daratumumab administered in combination with standard multiple myeloma (MM) regimens in participants with MM as measured by overall response rate (ORR) or very good partial response (VGPR) or better rate.
The participants in the study are patients who undergo surgery to damaged nerve transmission and processing system in the nervous system as part of the routine clinical treatment that will not be affected by the proposed study. Patients who are candidates for procedures are referred from all over the country and undergo a multidisciplinary evaluation in the framework of the Palliative Pain Management Clinic, which operates exclusively in Israel at the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
Adoptive cell therapy (ACT) with tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in combination with lymphodepletion and high-dose interleukin 2. Most TIL ACT trials have been conducted as salvage therapy for patients who already had failed numerous treatments; many study participants presented with multiple metastases, frequently in visceral organs and even in the brain. The effectiveness of TIL ACT in eradicating metastatic tumors of the responding patients underlines the value of this immunotherapeutic approach. Recent developments in the identification and selection of tumor-specific T-cell populations have facilitated the implementation of TIL ACT also in nonmelanoma malignancies. Building on the experience of Ella Lemelbaum Institute, Sheba Medical Center with ACT TIL in the treatment of metastatic melanoma, the Dept. of Oncology, Tel HaShomer has expanded the use of TIL ACT following a reduced intensity, non-myeloablative, lymphodepleting induction regimen to metastatic Melanoma, Ovarian (OC) and Cervical cancer patients. The rationale supporting these studies is to further develop the ACT TIL procedure and expand its applicability to metastatic OC and cervical cancers.
