There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the PRIMA System in patients with atrophic AMD. Eligible subjects will be implanted with the PRIMA Implant. The subjects will be assessed with various visual function and functional vision tests at defined timepoints throughout the clinical investigation with the PRIMA System (Implant and Visual Processor).
Venous congestion in transplanted or re-implanted tissues remains a common and chal-lenging complication in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Local application of medicinal leeches is effective to reduce postoperative venous congestion of the flap and to restore normal blood flow. However, leech therapy is associated with a number of risks, including infections. Indeed, leeches maintain a symbiotic relationship with Aeromonas species in order to digest blood in their gut. Aeromonas spp. infections can occur 1 to 30 days post-application of leeches and are associated with a dramatic decrease in flap salvage rates (88 to 30%). For these reasons, prophylactic antibiotics and, external decontamination are widely recommended throughout the course of leech therapy. The aim of this study is to investigate the prevalence of side effects (anemia and infection) from patients treated with leeches in French Hospital.
The aim of the protocol is to compare the ocular outcomes after spontaneous vitreous hemorrhage treated with an early vitrectomy versus ultrasound monitoring with late vitrectomy. The hypothesis is that an early vitrectomy could decrease the rate of retinal detachment occurring after a spontaneous vitreous hemorrhage.
Because of metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (mNSCLC) and its treatments, patients suffer from numerous symptoms such as dyspnea, muscle atrophy, pain, fatigue, loss of appetite, altered physical condition and lung function, which may further impair the patient's overall condition. Nevertheless, it has been suggested that physical exercise could improve response to treatment at the clinical level due to its known effects on the immune system. Moreover, preclinical studies have shown that exercise performed during chemotherapy administration could result in physiological benefits such as improved intra-tumoral infusion and drug delivery. The ERICA study aims to assess the feasibility of an acute physical exercise immediately before immunotherapy and chemotherapy administration in patients with mNSCLC.
DECRESCENDO is a multicentre, open-label, dual-phase single-arm phase II de-escalation study evaluating neoadjuvant treatment with 12 administrations of weekly IV paclitaxel 80 mg/m2 (or IV docetaxel 75 mg/m2 every 3 weeks for 4 cycles) combined with subcutaneous (SC) fixed dose combination (FDC) of pertuzumab and trastuzumab (loading dose of 1200 mg pertuzumab and 600 mg trastuzumab, followed by 600 mg pertuzumab and 600 mg trastuzumab) every 3 weeks for 4 cycles. Surgery will be performed according to local guidelines in all subjects after neoadjuvant treatment. After surgery, subjects who achieve a pCR (defined as pT0/Tis pN0) will receive adjuvant pertuzumab and trastuzumab FDC SC for additional 14 cycles. Subjects with residual invasive disease will receive salvage adjuvant trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1, 3.6 mg/kg, IV every 3 weeks) for 14 cycles. In subjects whose residual invasive disease is classified per RCB score as ≥2, 3 to 4 cycles of anthracycline-based chemotherapy may be administered, at the investigator's discretion, before the 14 cycles of T-DM1. If histopathological analysis finds that the surgical specimen from a subject with residual disease is ER-positive and/or PR-positive, adjuvant endocrine therapy may be administered concomitantly with study treatment, at the investigator's discretion and according to local guidelines. Adjuvant radiotherapy will be mandatory after breast-conserving surgery, whereas it will be performed according to local guidelines after mastectomy, and it will be administered concomitantly with pertuzumab and trastuzumab FDC SC in subjects who achieve a pCR, and concomitantly with T-DM1 in subjects with residual invasive disease (after anthracycline-based chemotherapy in subjects assigned to receive this treatment).
The objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of regular physical practice on fatigue, quality of life and kinesiophobia in patients treated at the ICO in Angers, regardless of the type of cancer and the type of treatment.
Record real life data of patients with Hemophilia A and treated with Afstyla® to assess the effectiveness and the safety of the treatment used as prophylaxis, prevention of bleeding (e.g. surgery) or on-demand treatment during 3 years after patient inclusion
This study concerns the creation of a biological collection (blood samples) in patients with Epithelial Ovarian Cancer in in order to describe the immune response with PARP inhibitors.
The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a new coronavirus discovered in December 2019 in Wuhan, China and currently responsible of a worldwide outbreak and the death of more than 55,000 patients in France. The more severe form of COVID-19 disease induces a pneumonia with profound hypoxemia which may require invasive mechanical ventilation. It is estimated that 5% of COVID-19 patients are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for management. Hospital mortality in patients who develop severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) ranges between 40% and 60%. The investigators purpose to investigate the pathological findings of COVID-19 patients who died from ARDS in the ICU by doing post-mortem lung biopsies
The main objective is to study the expression of molecules involved in tooth morphogenesis and eruption in healthy patients, and then to compare them with the results in patients with abnormalities of eruption (results obtained via a collection of biological samples of rare diseases already authorized).
