NCT ID: NCT00721760 Completed - Clinical trials for Venous Thromboembolism

Evaluation of AVE5026 as Compared to Enoxaparin for the Prevention of Thromboembolism in Patients Undergoing Hip Fracture Surgery

SAVE-HIP2
Start date: July 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective was to compare the efficacy of once daily [q.d] subcutaneous [s.c.] injections of Semuloparin sodium (AVE5026) with q.d. s.c. injections of Enoxaparin for the prevention of Venous Thromboembolic Events [VTE] in patients undergoing hip fracture surgery. The secondary objectives were to evaluate the safety of AVE5026 in patients undergoing hip fracture surgery, and to document AVE5026 exposure in this population.

NCT ID: NCT00721396 Completed - Clinical trials for Meningococcal Infections

Safety, Tolerability and Immunogenicity of Meningococcal B Recombinant Vaccine Administered With or Without Routine Infant Vaccinations to Healthy Infants According to Different Immunization Schedules

Start date: August 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Primary :1.To demonstrate a sufficient immune response of rMenB+OMV NZ, when given concomitantly with routine infant vaccines to healthy infants at 2, 4 and 6 and 2, 3 and 4 months of age, as measured by percentage of subjects with serum bactericidal activity (SBA) titer ≥1:5, at 1 month after the third vaccination Secondary :To demonstrate that immunogenicity of routine infant vaccines, when given concomitantly with rMenB+OMV NZ to healthy infants at 2, 3 and 4 months of age, was non-inferior to that of routine infant vaccines given without rMenB+OMV NZ. 2. To demonstrate that the immunogenicity of rMenB+OMV NZ when given concomitantly with routine infant vaccines was non-inferior to that of rMenB+OMV NZ given without routine infant vaccines at 2, 4 and 6 months of age. 3. To assess prevalence of meningococcal B antibodies over the study period by evaluation of SBA, at baseline and at 1 month after third vaccination, in subjects- received routine infant vaccine without rMenB+OMV NZ.

NCT ID: NCT00721266 Completed - Neoplasms Clinical Trials

A Dose-Escalation Study of RO5083945 in Patients With Metastatic and/or Locally Advanced Malignant Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR)+ Solid Tumors.

Start date: June 2008
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the pharmacokinetics, maximum tolerated dose and anti-tumor activity of RO5083945 in patients with metastatic and/or locally advanced malignant EGFR+ solid tumors. In the first part of the study, groups of patients will be sequentially enrolled to receive ascending doses of RO5083945 administered weekly, every 2 weeks or every 3 weeks. The starting dose of 50mg weekly will be escalated in subsequent groups of patients after a successful assessment of the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of the previous dose. In Part 2 of the study, patients with EGFR+ and mutant KRAS colorectal cancer will be enrolled, and will receive RO5083945 at the recommended dose and regimen identified in Part 1. The anticipated time on study treatment is until disease progression, and the target sample size is <100 individuals.
