The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate the relationship between Hallux Abductus Valgus (HAV) and the hyperextension of the Extensor Hallucis Longus (EHL) tendon. The study aims to understand the efficacy of MIS surgery in treating foot deformities like HAV and to evaluate the impact of EHL tendon hyperextension on this condition. The main questions this study aims to answer are: - How does the hyperextension of the EHL tendon correlate with the presence and severity of HAV? - What is the effectiveness of MIS surgery in correcting HAV deformities and addressing issues related to EHL tendon hyperextension? Participants in this study will undergo pre-surgical evaluation to assess the severity of HAV and measure the extent of EHL tendon hyperextension using pressure platform analysis and other relevant clinical measures. During the MIS surgery, participants will receive treatment targeted at correcting HAV, possibly involving partial tenotomy. If there is a comparison group: Researchers will compare individuals who undergo MIS surgery for HAV correction with a control group not receiving this intervention. The comparison aims to assess the effects of MIS surgery on both HAV correction and the relationship between EHL tendon hyperextension and the deformity. This study endeavors to shed light on the relationship between HAV and EHL tendon hyperextension, the effectiveness of MIS surgery in addressing these issues, and potentially pave the way for improved surgical techniques in treating foot pathologies.
This study will evaluate orally administered RVU120, a novel small molecule Cyclin-dependent Kinase (CDK) 8/19 inhibitor, in terms of erythroid hematologic improvement (HI-E) and safety in participants with lower-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Responding patients are eligible to continue treatment until loss of response/disease progression.
Purpose: To determine the effects of three Short Moderate Intensity Continuous Training (SMICT) exercise programs with different durations, on functional capacity, resting heart rate (RHR) and physical activity enjoyment in sedentary women. Methods: A randomized clinical trial was performed. 45 sedentary women were randomly allocated to either a: i) 8-minutes short exercise group; ii) 10-minutes short exercise group; and iii) 15-minutes short exercise group. All three groups received a short exercise training program at moderate intensity for 3 sessions/week, over 3 weeks. Before and after the interventions, functional capacity was evaluated through the 6-minute walking test, and RHR with a pulse oximeter. Physical activity enjoyment was measured with the Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale after the intervention.
In recent years there has been a rapid incursion of robotic technology applied to almost all fields of surgery. In gastric cancer, whose mainstay of treatment is still surgical resection, gastrectomy with robotic lymphadenectomy is growing faster than the scientific evidence supporting its results. The "National Multicenter Cohort Study of ROBOT-Assisted Gastrectomy Versus Laparoscopy in Gastric Cancer" (ROBOTAG study) is proposed as a prospective multicenter Spanish nationwide study, comparing robotic gastrectomy versus conventional laparoscopic gastrectomy for the treatment of gastric cancer. This study aims to provide evidence on the feasibility, safety and complications, possible technical advantages, short and long term surgical and oncological results, as well as aspects related to quality of life, which can support the increase in cost and the important technological effort that underlies robotic surgery with respect to conventional laparoscopic access. The relevance of this project is doubled by directing the objectives, on the one hand, on a new and expensive technology that is reaching hospitals still surrounded by controversy about its real benefits; and on the other hand, by acting on a pathology for which most of the available studies come from Eastern countries, sometimes not very applicable to the Western context.

A migraine attack is a moderate or severe headache that usually occurs on one side of the head and is often accompanied by throbbing, sensitivity to light, sensitivity to sound, nausea, or other symptoms. The main goal of the study is to see if atogepant is effective, safe, and well-tolerated in treating migraine attacks quickly. Atogepant is a medicine currently approved for the preventive treatment of migraine in adults and has been shown to be effective and well tolerated when taken daily to prevent migraine attacks. This study includes double-blind phase means that neither the participants nor the study doctors know who is given which study treatment (atogepant or placebo) followed by an open-label phase meaning that both participants and study doctors know which study treatment is given. All participants will receive atogepant during the open-label part of the study. This study will include 1300 participants aged 18-75 years with a history of migraine at approximately 160 sites across the world. All participants will receive both atogepant and placebo to treat qualifying migraines. At the start of the study, participants will be randomized to 1 of 4 dosing sequences to determine when they will receive atogepant and when they will receive placebo during the study. After treating 4 qualifying migraine attacks, participants will receive open-label atogepant for any additional migraine attacks they have until the end of the study (Week 24). There may be a bigger responsibility for participants in this study than there would be in participants receiving standard of care treatment. participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic, as well as telephone visits, and the effects of treatment will be checked by completion of questionnaires in an electronic diary, medical assessments, blood tests, and checking for side effects.
This is a parallel group, Phase 3, multinational, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 3-arm study for treatment of participants diagnosed with moderate-to-severe AD on background TCS who have had inadequate response to prior biologic or oral JAKi therapy. The purpose of this study is to measure the efficacy and safety of treatment with amlitelimab solution for subcutaneous (SC) injection compared with placebo in participants with moderate-to-severe AD aged 12 years and older on background TCS and have had an inadequate response to prior biologic or an oral JAKi therapy. Study details include: At the end of the treatment period, participants will have the option to enter the Long-Term Safety Study LTS17367 (RIVER-AD). The study duration will be up to 56 weeks for participants not entering the long-term safety study (LTS17367 [RIVER-AD]) including a 2 to 4-week screening, a 36-week randomized double-blind period, and a 16-week safety follow-up. The study duration will be up to 40 weeks for participants entering the long-term safety study (LTS17367 [RIVER-AD]) including a 2 to 4-week screening and a 36-week randomized double-blind period. The total treatment duration will be up to 36 weeks. The total number of visits will be up to 13 visits (or 12 visits for those entering the long-term safety study LTS17367 [RIVER-AD] study).
