Retrospective cohort study that will include patients from the ICU of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona during the period between March 11 and May 13, 2020. The cohorts are made up of two groups of patients admitted for severe COVID during the first wave, according to whether or not they received physiotherapy and the possible impact of physiotherapy on the days of mechanical ventilation in the two study groups will be studied.

Progressive deformity from the optimal spinal curvatures is a degenerative disorder related to progressive ageing that affects an increasing number of adults. This is one of the main affectations on the health of adults, being its cause multifactorial. That is why a totally effective intervention has not yet been found that allows obtaining a substantial improvement in all the adults who suffer from it. However, certain physical programs that include mind-body work have been effective, but research is limited and the results are inconclusive. For this reason, this research arises, in which a training protocol has been designed using an instrument called Xiaxi with which the body-mind work is prioritized. The aims of this study were: 1) to evaluate the effects of a 12-weeks Xiaxi® exercise program on the sagittal spinal disposition and hamstring extensibility of adults, and 2) to determine whether the weekly training frequency influenced the changes found on sagittal spinal disposition and hamstring extensibility with Xiaxi® training program. The present investigation is composed of two data collections that will be carried out before and after a twelve-week intervention. Two intervention groups and a control group make up the sample, with one of the intervention groups attending Xiaxi training once a week and the other intervention group twice a week. The control group will only attend the measurements, but will not participate in the intervention.

Congenital Portosystemic Shunt (CPSS) is a rare condition important by the multiplicity and severity of associated complications. CPSS is venous anomaly in which blood coming from the intestines only partially passes through the liver. This leads to the accumulation of potentially toxic factors that cause systemic effects. Complications vary among the individuals, and currently, it is challenging to predict which individuals will develop severe complications. The IRCPSS registry is established with the aim of centralizing detailed clinical follow-up and biological information from participants around the world who suffer from Congenital Portosystemic Shunt (CPSS). A multidisciplinary consortium of experts is collaborating to enhance our understanding of the prevalence, natural history, individual risks, and physiopathology of the disease through the IRCPSS registry.

The purpose of this Phase III study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tozorakimab administered subcutaneously (SC) in adult participants with symptomatic COPD with a history of ≥ 2 moderate or ≥ 1 severe exacerbations of COPD in the 12 months prior to enrolment. Participants should be receiving optimised treatment with inhaled maintenance therapy (ICS/LABA/LAMA triple therapy, or dual therapy if triple is not considered appropriate) throughout at least the last 3 months prior to enrolment.

Mobile App for Eating Disorders in Adolescents

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of GGTCA-AD to decrease the maladaptive beliefs associated with eating disorders (ED) in non-clinical adolescent population. Specifically, a randomized controlled trial with parallel design and two groups (experimental and control) will be carried out in adolescents aged 13-15 years to assess the changes pre and post use of the app. It is expected that after the use of the GGTCA-AD app for 14 days, at the primary level, a: decrease in the degree of ascription to dysfunctional beliefs associated with ED; and at the secondary level: increase in body satisfaction and self-esteem; decrease in eating symptomatology; and no changes in emotional symptomatology. These results are also expected to be maintained in subsequent follow-up at 1 month.
