With the current knowledge of aortic valve replacement modalities, no specific recommendations can be given and the decision for a particular prosthesis or procedure is rather arbitrarily. The investigators hypothesize that the autograft procedure according to Ross is superior in terms of hemodynamic (especially regression of left ventricular hypertrophy) and major adverse valve related events even in a long-term course
Currently, we conduct a prospective, randomized trial comparing the outcome of surgical excision with the outcome of curettage in nodular and superficial BCCs. Larger BCCs and micronodular or sclerosing BCCs are not included in the randomized study. They are mainly operated using three-dimensional histology (3D-histology, micrographic surgery). In this observational study we measure the cosmetic result and the recurrence rate of all BCCs not included in the randomized trial.
Cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) is a disease with a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations and a variable prognosis. The aim of the study is to create a standardized evaluation of the different subtypes of this disease in order to receive an overview of the spectrum of clinical and laboratory features as well as the therapeutic strategies for patients with CLE.
