NCT ID: NCT04489563 Completed - Clinical trials for Feasibility of a Technology-based System in Aged Person

Feasibility Study of i-ACT in Aged Persons

i-ACT-aged
Start date: March 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A mix-method cross-sectional feasibility study performed in five aged care institutes in Flanders, Belgium. A convenience sample of 48 aged persons was recruited and 12 supervisors (i.e. occupational therapy students and therapists). Aged persons received a 20-30 minutes test with a technology-based system, i.e. intelligent Activity-based Client-centred Training system (i-ACT). The i-ACT consists of the Microsoft Kinect and adapted software in which movements can be recorded and training parameters can be set by supervisors. During and after the test, the thinking aloud method was used. After the test, the Intrinsic Motivation Inventory, the System Usability Scale, and the Credibility/Expectancy Questionnaire were administered in the aged persons.

NCT ID: NCT04488211 Completed - IVM Clinical Trials

IVM Survey Among Reproductive Medicine Specialists

Start date: July 30, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Although IVM as a laboratory technology in reproductive medicine has existed for many decades, there is a lack of well-designed studies comparing the efficiency and the patient satisfaction related to IVM as compared to standard ovarian stimulation for IVF. In view of this, and in order to identify unmet needs of fertility specialists with regard to the application of IVM, the investigator developed the idea of a worldwide web-based survey analysis of fertility specialists' insights and experiences regarding IVM.

NCT ID: NCT04484935 Completed - RSV Infection Clinical Trials

Evaluate the Safety and Tolerability, for Nirsevimab in Immunocompromised Children

MUSIC
Start date: August 19, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Study D5290C00008 is a Phase 2, open-label, uncontrolled, single-dose study to evaluate the safety and tolerability, pharmacokinetic(s) (PK), occurrence of antidrug antibody (ADA), and efficacy of nirsevimab in immunocompromised children who are ≤ 24 months of age at the time of dose administration. Approximately 100 subjects will be enrolled. Subjects will be followed for approximately 1 year after dose administration.

NCT ID: NCT04482465 Completed - Clinical trials for Vitamin D Deficiency

Omega 3 and Vitamin D Dosage in a Population With Moderate to High Risk of AMD

OVID-AMD
Start date: April 20, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Objectives: The investigators conducted a prospective study in Belgium with the objective to determine the proportion of subjects identified at moderate-to-high risk for AMD, based on the STARS® questionnaire, in need of nutritional supplementation by assessing their vitamin D, zinc oxide and fatty acid profile status. Methods: This multicentre epidemiological intervention pilot study involved 50 Belgian subjects with no AMD or early AMD, aged over 55, at moderate-to-high risk for AMD based on a simplified AMD risk assessment scale (STARS®) score ≥ 10, not taking vitamin D or trace nutrient containing supplements. Outcome data was collected during a one-time subject interview comprising of clinical eye examinations (typically visual acuity), the STARS® questionnaire, visual acuity assessment, an OCT scan on the macula, and fundus photography. Blood samples were collected from the patients and serum analysis was performed to determine the levels of omega-6 to omega-3 ratio, EPA and DHA, zinc and cupric oxide, and vitamin D, recognised as key nutrients involved in AMD pathophysiology.

NCT ID: NCT04482049 Completed - Clinical trials for Fatty Acid Oxidation Disorder

A Prospective Study of the Disease Characteristics of Adult Patients With Long Chain Fatty Acid Oxidation Disorders

FORWARD
Start date: January 15, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of the study is to collect information on disease characteristics from adult patients diagnosed with fatty acid oxidation disorders (FAOD).

NCT ID: NCT04480866 Completed - Cervical Cancer Clinical Trials

CASUS: Improved and Quality Assured Collection of First-void Urine

CASUS-WP1
Start date: July 30, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of the overall CASUS project is to develop the first fully molecular integrated cervical cancer screening approach, based on first-void urine as an easily accessible and non-invasive source of biomarkers. In contrast to current screening modalities, the CASUS approach will identify women with clinically relevant disease in need of treatment using only a single sample that can be collected at home (one-step triage).

NCT ID: NCT04480840 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis

Phase 2a Evaluation of Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetics of PLN-74809 in Patients With Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC)

Start date: July 27, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A Phase 2a, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, dose-ranging, placebo-controlled, study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and PK of PLN-74809 in participants with primary sclerosing cholangitis and suspected liver fibrosis
