NCT ID: NCT00103389 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Docetaxel With or Without PI-88 in Treating Patients With Stage IIIB or Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: February 2004
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. PI-88 may stop the growth of non-small cell lung cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. It may also help docetaxel work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug. Giving docetaxel together with PI-88 may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known whether giving docetaxel together with PI-88 is more effective than docetaxel alone in treating non-small cell lung cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying docetaxel and PI-88 to see how well they work when given together compared to docetaxel alone in treating patients with stage IIIB or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00103285 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Young Patients With Newly Diagnosed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Start date: April 11, 2005
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized phase III trial is studying different combination chemotherapy regimens and comparing how well they work in treating patients with newly diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more cancer cells.

NCT ID: NCT00103168 Completed - Clinical trials for Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor

Imatinib Mesylate or Observation Only in Treating Patients Who Have Undergone Surgery for Localized Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor

Start date: December 2004
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Imatinib mesylate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving imatinib mesylate after surgery may kill any remaining tumor cells. It is not yet known whether imatinib mesylate is more effective than observation only in treating gastrointestinal stromal tumor. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying imatinib mesylate to see how well it works compared to observation only in treating patients who have undergone surgery for localized gastrointestinal stromal tumor.

NCT ID: NCT00102804 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Pemetrexed and Best Supportive Care Versus Placebo and Best Supportive Care in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

Start date: March 2005
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is a randomized Phase 3, double-blind study of maintenance pemetrexed plus best supportive care versus placebo plus best supportive care in NSCLC. Participants must have received 1 of 6 induction regimens for 4 cycles and did not have progressive disease prior to randomization (enrollment) into this trial.

NCT ID: NCT00101998 Completed - Constipation Clinical Trials

Study Of Alvimopan Drug For Treatment Of Constipation Due To Prescription Pain Medication

Start date: October 1, 2003
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A multicenter study to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of multiple dosage regimens of an investigational drug for the treatment of constipation due to prescription pain medication in subjects with cancer pain. The study will require five visits over a five-week period.

NCT ID: NCT00101985 Completed - Irritable Colon Clinical Trials

Eight-Weeks Of Treatment With Talnetant In Subjects With Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Start date: October 2004

This study will evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the investigational drug talnetant in treating subjects with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

NCT ID: NCT00101816 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

Dasatinib (BMS-354825) in Subjects With Myeloid Blast Phase Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Resistant to or Intolerant of Imatinib Mesylate

Start date: December 2004
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to see what effect an investigational drug (BMS-354825) has on subjects who are currently in the myeloid blast phase of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and who are either resistant to or intolerant of imatinib mesylate. Another purpose of the study is to see what side effects this drug may have on subjects.

NCT ID: NCT00101738 Completed - Clinical trials for Kidney Transplantation

Freedom Study: Myfortic in Kidney Transplant Patients

Start date: March 2003
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the study is to evaluate that 3 immunosuppressant regimens will have comparable kidney function results in kidney transplant patients.

NCT ID: NCT00101686 Completed - Clinical trials for Colorectal Neoplasms

Trial Of Irinotecan In Combination With Three Methods Of Administration Of Fluoropyrimidine.

Start date: February 2003
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study compares in the first study period combination of Irinotecan with three different methods of administration by Fluoropyrimidine. (ie. infusion, bolus and oral). In the second period of study it compares FOLFIRI [a chemotherapy regime that combines bolus irinotecan and leucovorin [LV] with infusional 5-fluorouracil (5-FU)] + bevacizumab and mlFL + bevacizumab. Measures of efficacy and safety will be reported.

NCT ID: NCT00101660 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

Study of BMS-354825 (Dasatinib) in Patients With Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Who Are Either Resistant or Intolerant to Imatinib

Start date: February 2005
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is assess the effects of the investigational drug dasatinib on participants who are in chronic phase Philadelphia chromosome chronic myeloid leukemia and who are either resistant to or intolerant of imatinib. Other purposes of the study are to identify any side effects the drug may produce and to study the level of dasatanib in the blood and assess the efficacy of dasatanib in the treatment of leukemia.
