Filter by:This is a randomized trial to assess the efficacy of reminder mechanisms on colorectal cancer (CRC) screening uptake among a cohort of patients who were previously mailed a multitarget stool DNA (mt-sDNA) test and did not complete the screening. Patients will be identified as being due for CRC screening and will be mailed a mt-sDNA kit to their home. Patients who do not complete screening with mt-sDNA within 30 days will be identified and randomized into one of three study arms to receive reminders to complete the mt-sDNA screening. The primary outcome is the rate of completion of screening for colorectal cancer with mt-sDNA test.
Optical diagnosis of colorectal polyps is a promising tool to avoid risks of unnecessary polypectomies and to save costs of tissue pathology. NICE (NBI International Colorectal Endoscopic) and WASP (Workgroup on Serrated Polyps and Polyposis) classification were developed for diagnosis of adenomatous and sessile serrated polyps, respectively.
In Argentina, there is vast experience in qualitative iFOBT population screening that is part of the CRC Prevention and Early Detection National Program. The screening's cut-off point is at 50 ng/mL buffer. Its positivity rate for 2019 has been an average of 26.15%, over the double of the one reported in the international literature (7.5-11%) for this cut-off point (1). There are no studies that assess such technology and suggest an appropriate cut-off point for this population. The goal of this study is to assess the diagnostic performance of the qualitative iFOBT used in the present and the quantitative iFOBT with various cut-off points for advanced neoplastic wound screening (colorectal cancer and advanced adenoma) in an Argentine patient cohort.
This study aimis at detecting the genomic changes of ctDNA in patients of RAS and BRAF wild-type mCRC, who failed after first line treatment containing cetuximab. According to the results of ctDNA detection, individualized second-line targeted therapy strategies were developed to explore the disease control rate and prognostic significance of ctDNA-guided treatment for metastatic colorectal cancer.
Good distension of the colon during colonoscopy is essential to detect polyps. Gas sometimes escapes the colon through the anus resulting in compromised distension. Pressure on gluteal muscles when the colonoscope tip is in the left colon might help preventing this and thus increase visibility. No previous study looked at this.
This is an open-label, multicenter, Phase Ib study to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) in the weekly (QW) and/or every 3 weeks (Q3W) regimens, safety, tolerability, PK, immunogenicity, PD profile and to evaluate preliminary anti-tumor activity of RO7122290 in combination with cibisatamab Q3W after pretreatment with obinutuzumab, in participants with previously treated metastatic, microsatellite-stable colorectal adenocarcinoma with high CEACAM5 expression
Liver Transplantation for Unresectable GIST Liver Metastases
Dietary intervention with UNICLA-A2 milk products containing beta casein A2 protein, and higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids and selenium may contribute to maintain the intestinal integrity, reduce inflammatory processes, normalize the immune system, protect against oxidative damage and equilibrate the gut microbiota in high-risk colorectal cancer patients who have undergone polypectomy
This is an observational, prospective study using fecal DNA methylation test to define the risk of suffering from advanced adenoma or colorectal cancer (CRC) compared to colonoscopy and fecal immunochemical test (FIT). This study recruits at least 80 participants, including 40 people of healthy controls, 20 people with adenoma, and 20 people with CRC, which were confirmed by colonoscopy. All fecal specimens from participants will be examined by FIT and multi-methylated target gene detection through real-time quantitative methylation-specific PCR (qMSP). The objective of this study is to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of multi-methylated target PCR compared with the FIT and confirm the examination results through colonoscopy.
To investigate whether perioperative electroacupuncture is more effective than postoperative electroacupuncture in improving gastrointestinal function after colorectal cancer operation
