NCT ID: NCT06301581 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cochlear Hearing Loss

Retrospective Analysis of Speech Performance Using the HiRes Ultra and HiRes Ultra 3D Cochlear Implant

Start date: January 22, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a retrospective study designed to collect speech perception results for HiRes Ultra CI and HiRes Ultra 3D CI users as measured in the clinical routine and to confirm the performance of these devices.

NCT ID: NCT06301568 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cochlear Hearing Loss

Retrospective Analysis of Long-term Speech Performance in Cochlear Implant Recipients Using Electro-acoustic Stimulation

Start date: January 22, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a retrospective study designed to collect long-term speech perception results for cochlear implants recipients using electro-acoustic-stimulation as measured in the clinical routine and to confirm the performance of sound processors associated with acoustic earhooks.

NCT ID: NCT06114680 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hearing Loss, Sensorineural

Evaluation of the CochSyn Test Prototype to Measure Cochlear Synaptopathy

EarDiTech
Start date: November 13, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study investigates a newly developed test, The CochSyn test that can quantify cochlear synaptopathy (CS) (a new type of sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL)) earlier than the current golden standard pure-tone audiogram. This newly developed test is based on auditory evoked brain potentials. A hardware prototype (the Cochsyn test prototype) was developed to use the Cochsyn test in clinical practice. Additionally a CS-based sound-processing algorithm (CoNNear) that is designed to improve speech intelligibility in subjects that are identified to have CS, will be investigated in this study.

NCT ID: NCT05709431 Recruiting - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

A Study Evaluating the French Version of the CIQoL-35 Quality of Life Questionnaire in Adult Cochlear Implant Use.

CIQoL
Start date: January 12, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The Cochlear Implant - Quality of Life (CIQoL) PROM is a quality-of-life assessment questionnaire for adults with cochlear implants. The CIQoL responds to an important need for a questionnaire that captures the benefits of cochlear implantation as perceived by patients and that can be used in clinical practice.

NCT ID: NCT05486637 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cochlear Hearing Loss

Vocal Emotion Communication With Cochlear Implants

Start date: July 1, 2022
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Patients with hearing loss who use cochlear implants (CIs) show significant deficits and strong unexplained intersubject variability in their perception and production of spoken emotions in speech. This project will investigate the hypothesis that "cue-weighting", or how patients utilize the different acoustic cues to emotion, accounts for significant variance in emotional communication with CIs. The results will focus on children with CIs, but parallel measures in postlingually deaf adults with CIs will be made, ensuring that results of these studies benefit social communication by CI patients across the lifespan by informing the development of technological innovations and improved clinical protocols.

NCT ID: NCT04929470 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cochlear Hearing Loss

Safety and Performance of Ultra/Ultra 3D Cl With HiFocus SlimJ Electrode in Adults With Severe-to-profound Hearing Loss

Start date: July 6, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a prospective study designed to evaluate the safety and performance of the HiResTM Ultra Cl HiFocusTM SlimJ Electrode and HiResTM Ultra 3D Cl HiFocusTM SlimJ Electrode (Ultra X) under normal conditions of use as it is approved for this device. Participants receive interventions as part of routine medical care.

NCT ID: NCT04610216 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cochlear Hearing Loss

Investigation of the Automatic Technology on the Naída M Hearing Devices

Start date: October 20, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this clinical trial, an un-controlled, repeated measures open design with within-subject comparison will be used to evaluate the effect of the device under investigation on sound perception. This design was shown to be successful in previous studies for the evaluation of sound coding strategies. Furthermore, a within-subject comparison decreases the variance in the results allowing for fewer subjects when the population using the investigational device is not large in general.

NCT ID: NCT04610112 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cochlear Hearing Loss

PMCF on Safety and Performance of HiResTM Ultra/Ultra 3D Cl Mid-Scala Electrodes in Adults With Severe-to-profound Hearing Loss

Start date: September 16, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a prospective study designed to evaluate the safety and performance of the HiResTM Ultra Cl HiFocusTM MS Electrode and HiResTM Ultra 3D Cl HiFocusTM MS Electrode (Ultra X) under normal conditions of use as it is approved for this device.
