NCT ID: NCT04032704 Terminated - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of Ladiratuzumab Vedotin in Advanced Solid Tumors

Start date: October 9, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial will study ladiratuzumab vedotin (LV) alone and with pembrolizumab to find out if it works to treat different types of solid tumors. It will also find out what side effects may occur. A side effect is anything the drug does besides treating cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04031534 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Oropharynx

Study of Hypoxia Measured in F-Miso PET/Scan and MRI in Patients With Squamous Cells Carcinoma

HYPONECK
Start date: March 21, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Hypoxia imaging has not been studied extensively by combining PET and MRI data. Few studies performed the double imaging and none associated anatomopathology with it . This study will use a rigorous methodology through the production of PET/MRI images at the same time by transferring the patient directly from PET to MRI. In addition, the population, unlike other studies, will include preoperative patients with 24-hour surgery for hypoxia imaging by obtaining additional data through specific immunohistochemical analysis of hypoxia.

NCT ID: NCT04029857 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Clinical Stage III Esophageal Adenocarcinoma AJCC v8

Nutritional Supplementation in Reducing Complications in Patients With Locally Advanced Esophageal Cancer Undergoing Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, and/or Surgery

Start date: March 14, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This phase III trial studies nutritional supplementation with Impact Advanced Recovery to see how well it works compared with standard nutritional supplementation in reducing complications in patients with esophageal cancer that has spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes (locally advanced) who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and/or surgery. Impact Advanced Recovery may help to reduce the number of surgical complications, reduce toxicity, improve nutritional status before surgery, and reduce morbidity after surgery in patients with esophageal cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04018872 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Gastroesophageal Junction Adenocarcinoma

Evaluating the Effect of Itraconazole on Pathologic Complete Response Rates in Esophageal Cancer

Start date: June 24, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Esophageal cancer, which has a low 5-year overall survival rate for all stages (<20%) , is increasing in incidence. Previous studies have shown that the Hedgehog (Hh) and AKT signaling pathways are activated in a significant proportion of esophageal cancers. Itraconazole, a widely used anti-fungal medication, has been shown to inhibit various pathways involved in esophageal cancer tumorigenesis including Hh and AKT. In this phase II clinical trial, the investigators aim to evaluate the effect of itraconazole as a neoadjuvant therapy following standard of care chemoradiation in the treatment of locoregional esophageal and gastroesophageal junction carcinomas.

NCT ID: NCT04009265 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Study Compare Adjuvant Chemotherapy, Chemoradiotherapy and Surgery Alone for pN1-2(pT1b-3N1-2M0) Esophageal Carcinoma

Start date: August 23, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A multi-center prospective randomized controlled study was conducted to compare the effects of adjuvant chemotherapy, chemoradiotherapy and surgery alone for the patients with esophageal cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04007744 Recruiting - Metastatic Melanoma Clinical Trials

Sonidegib and Pembrolizumab in Treating Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors

Start date: February 13, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the best dose of sonidegib when given together with pembrolizumab and to see how well they work in treating patients with solid tumor that has spread to other places in the body (advanced). Sonidegib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving sonidegib and pembrolizumab may work better than standard treatment in treating patients with advanced solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT04006041 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Resectable Esophageal Cancer

Combination of Toripalimab and Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy in Esophageal Cancer

Start date: June 25, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (CRT) followed by surgery has become the standard treatment option for locally advanced esophageal cancer (EC). However, only 20% to 40% of EC patients can achieve pathologic complete response (pCR) after neoadjuvant CRT with favorable prognosis. Immunotherapy targeting the PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoints has demonstrated promising activity in advanced EC. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the combination of toripalimab (an anti-PD-1 antibody) combined with neoadjuvant CRT in locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).

NCT ID: NCT04003025 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Body Composition and Prognosis in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC)

HNCAX01
Start date: July 30, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a retrospective study in patients with cancer of the oral cavity, pharynx, and larynx. Imaging exams of these patients will be analyzed with the objective of developing and validating a clinically applicable method for evaluation of cachexia and/or sarcopenia in a patient with head and neck cancer from musculature imaging of the neck. Indeed, the prognostic influence of body composition will be evaluated.

NCT ID: NCT04001543 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Efficacy of an Oral Immunomodulatory Nutrient on Survival During Postoperative Concomitant Chemoradiotherapy in Head and Neck Cancer

SIMPA01
Start date: March 14, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators designed a prospective randomized double-blind trial to determine if the oral immunomodulating formula could improve the disease-free survival rate in high-risk locally-advanced head and neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma patients treated with Chemoradiotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT03998696 Completed - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

An Experimental Study to Compare Treatment Response and Toxicities of Concurrent Chemoradiation With Weekly Cisplatin and Three Weekly Cisplatin in Locally Advanced Head and Neck Cancer.

HNC
Start date: July 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to compare treatment responses and toxicities of concurrent chemo-radiation with weekly and three weekly Cisplatin in locally advanced Head & Neck Cancer. Half of the participants received Cisplatin (40 mg/m2) weekly with radiotherapy, while the other half received Cisplatin (100 mg/m2) thrice weekly with radiotherapy. Radiotherapy continued five days per week for six and half weeks.
