NCT ID: NCT03079440 Completed - Clinical trials for Neuroendocrine Tumors

TEMCAP in Grade 3 and Low Ki-67 Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors

Start date: May 15, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

GI tract including pancreas is the one of most common primary sites of neuroendocrine tumors. Current grading of neuroendocrine tumors are based on the 2010 WHO classification. This classifies grade 3 tumors as the neuroendocrine tumor with mitosis > 20 per 10 high power field or Ki-67 labeling index > 20%. Etoposide-based chemotherapy, mostly as the combination with cisplatin, has been the mainstay of the treatment for patients with grade 3 neuroendocrine tumors. However, a recent large retrospective analysis has suggested this regimen may not be effective in relatively low Ki-67 labeling index. Therefore, the investigators designed a clinical trial testing temozolomide-capecitabine combination, which has been mostly investigated in well differentiated (ie., grade 1 or 2) neuroendocrine tumors, in patients with grade 3 and low Ki-67 gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors.

NCT ID: NCT03072160 Completed - Clinical trials for Medullary Thyroid Cancer (MTC)

Pembrolizumab in Recurrent or Metastatic Medullary Thyroid Cancer

Start date: June 16, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Background: Medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) is a tumor of the thyroid gland. Surgery is the only current treatment to cure it. The drug pembrolizumab (MK-3475) is a new type of cancer therapy. It works by allowing the immune system to detect and kill tumor cells. Objective: To test how pembrolizumab affects people with MTC and if it can offer them clinical benefit. Eligibility: People ages 18 and older with MTC Patients who have recurrent or metastatic MTC, for whom surgery is not a curative option Patients with some imaging evidence of MTC Patients with minimal symptoms related to MTC Design: Participants will be screened with: - Medical history - Physical exam - Blood, urine, and heart tests - Computed tomography (CT) scan or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): They lie in a machine that takes pictures of the body. - Bone scan Participants will be put in a group based on their treatment history: - Group 1 if they have had an immune stimulating cancer vaccine - Group 2 if they have had no vaccine Participants will receive the study drug as a 30-minute intravenous (IV) infusion every 3 weeks. Treatment will continue for up to 2 years as long as they tolerate it and their disease does not get worse. Participants will have physical exams and blood tests on the day of each infusion. They will have CT and bone scans every 3 months. Participants may save biopsies before treatment and after starting treatment. Participants will have a final visit 3-4 weeks after stopping treatment. This will include a physical exam and blood and heart tests. After this study, participants can join a long-term follow-up study.

NCT ID: NCT03037385 Completed - Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Phase 1/2 Study of the Highly-selective RET Inhibitor, Pralsetinib (BLU-667), in Participants With Thyroid Cancer, Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, and Other Advanced Solid Tumors

ARROW
Start date: March 17, 2017
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 1/2, open-label, first-in-human (FIH) study designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), and preliminary antineoplastic activity of pralsetinib (BLU-667) administered orally in participants with medullary thyroid cancer (MTC), RET-altered NSCLC and other RET-altered solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT03012620 Completed - Sarcoma Clinical Trials

Secured Access to Pembrolizumab for Patients With Selected Rare Cancer Types

AcSé
Start date: July 5, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 2, non-randomised, open-label, multicentric study to investigate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab monotherapy in 7 cohorts of patients with specific rare cancers who have unresectable locally advanced or metastatic disease, which is resistant or refractory to standard therapy, or for which standard therapy does not exist, or is not considered appropriate, and for which no other experimental treatment options are available, in order to identify subsets of patients that may benefit from treatment

NCT ID: NCT02955069 Completed - Clinical trials for Well-differentiated Non-functional NET of Gastrointestinal Origin

Study of Efficacy and Safety of PDR001 in Patients With Advanced or Metastatic, Well-differentiated, Non-functional Neuroendocrine Tumors of Pancreatic, Gastrointestinal (GI), or Thoracic Origin or Poorly-differentiated Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Carcinoma (GEP-NEC)

Start date: February 14, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of PDR001 in patients with advanced or metastatic, well-differentiated, non-functional neuroendocrine tumors of pancreatic, gastrointestinal (GI), or thoracic origin or poorly-differentiated gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine carcinoma (GEP-NEC) that progressed on prior treatment.

NCT ID: NCT02936323 Completed - Clinical trials for Neuroendocrine Tumors

PEN-221 in Somatostatin Receptor 2 Expressing Advanced Cancers Including Neuroendocrine and Small Cell Lung Cancers

Start date: December 8, 2016
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Protocol PEN-221-001 is an open-label, multicenter Phase 1/2a study evaluating PEN-221 in patients with SSTR2 expressing advanced gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) or lung or thymus or other neuroendocrine tumors or small cell lung cancer or large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lung.

NCT ID: NCT02893930 Completed - Clinical trials for Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor G2

Sapanisertib in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Refractory Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor That Cannot Be Removed by Surgery

Start date: April 28, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies how well sapanisertib works in treating patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic), does not respond to treatment (refractory), or cannot be surgically removed. Drugs such as sapanisertib may stop the growth or shrink tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

NCT ID: NCT02856347 Completed - Clinical trials for Medullary Thyroid Cancer

Prospective Study Evaluating the Medullary Thyroid Cancer Management's Care Using PET F-DOPA in Patients With a High Level of Postoperative Residual Thyrocalcitonin

CMTpostopFDOPA
Start date: March 22, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the trial is to study a radiating diagnosis agent used in post surgery when the biological assessment highlighted a residual disease. This is an inter-regional multicentric, prospective study evaluating the benefit of PET F-DOPA imaging in involved node detection compared to standard imaging assessment in patient with medullary thyroid cancer. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the impact and performance of a new PET / CT (computerized tomography ) tracer targeting dopamine receptor in patient with residual ganglionar biological disease after initial surgery of medullary thyroid cancer compared to standard imaging. Obtained data will be compared to the "gold standard" based on : - nodes cytology when they could be punctured - histology when a new surgery will be recommended - surveillance when the 2 first cases will be not applicable (imaging monitoring, evolution of thyrocalcitonin)
