Clinical Study on BIFICO Accelerating Postoperative Liver Function Recovery in Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma

On the basis of previous studies, this study intends to explore the effect of BIFICO on liver function recovery of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after surgery, so as to provide a new method for accelerating liver function recovery of HCC patients during perioperative period. This project is an open, randomized, blank-controlled clinical study. Liver resection patients were randomly divided into two groups, one group received continuous administration of BIFICO during perioperative period, and the dosage was controlled according to the instructions. The other group was a blank control. Stool samples were collected at three time points (before medication, before and after surgery) in two groups. Statistical analysis was performed to compare the differences of postoperative liver function and preoperative and postoperative gut microbiota between the two groups. Through this study, the investigators aimed to verify the beneficial changes of intestinal microflora in HCC patients with BIFICO during perioperative period .

GT90001 Plus Nivolumab in Patients With Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma

This is a global phase II, open label study in the subjects with Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma (aHCC) who were intolerant or had progressed after or intolerant to first-line Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors (ICI) such as Atezolizumab plus Bevacizumab, or ICI plus Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor (TKI). Based on published and first-hand experience with the safety and tolerability of both GT90001 and Nivolumab, the proposed dose is GT90001 7 mg/kg in combination with Nivolumab 240 mg, infusion every two weeks. This study will enroll a total of 105 subjects to receive combinational therapy of Nivolumab and GT90001. • Nivolumab 240 mg will first be administered by intravenous infusion over 30 minutes, then 30 minutes later, give intravenous infusion of GT90001 7.0 mg/kg over 60 min, once every two weeks.

68Ga PSMA PET Imaging for the Treatment of Advanced Liver Cancer

This phase II trial tests whether 68-Gallium prostate specific membrane antigen (68Ga-PSMA) positron emission tomography (PET) imaging can improve the diagnosis and management of liver cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (advanced). PSMA is a protein that appears in large amounts on the surface of liver cancer cells. The radioactive chemical compound (68Ga-PSMA) has been designed to circulate through the body and attach itself to the PSMA protein on liver cancer cells. A PET scan is then used to detect the location of the tumor cells. 68Ga-PSMA PET may improve upon the diagnosis and management of liver cancer.

Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy for Oligometastatic Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Oligometastasis is a definition that has been described in the past in the 1990s, and in some patients, metastases are not extensive and are limited to a small number of metastases. The local ablative treatment for oligometastasis is not a new concept. In case of liver metastasis from colorectal cancer, long-term survival can be expected if the liver resection is performed. Effectiveness has been demonstrated in studies of adrenal and brain metastasis from lung cancer as well as lung metastasis from sarcoma. A recent non-randomized study reported that patients with oligometastasis improved treatment outcomes with aggressive treatment. This study demonstrated that local ablative treatment for oligometastasis showed better treatment outcomes than expected. Also, the long-term outcomes in SABR-COMET trial showed that the overall survival were increased by 22 months. So far, the standard treatment for metastatic disease is systemic chemotherapy. However, based on these results from studies, active local treatment for patients with oligometastasis is currently being performed in the clinic. In this study, we aimed to apply this concept to patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. The goal of this observational study is to learn about in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma treated with atezoliozumab and bevacizumab. In this clinical study, we intend to analyze the multiomics data by analyzing the peripheral blood and tumor tissue before and after treatment of patients with advanced liver cancer receiving systemic drug treatment, and analyzing the correlation with the treatment. This is an exploratory study that aims to discover biomarkers that are highly correlated with treatment response.

Atezolizumab in Combination With a Multi-Kinase Inhibitor for the Treatment of Unresectable, Locally Advanced, or Metastatic Liver Cancer

This phase II trial tests whether atezolizumab in combination with a multi-kinase inhibitor (cabozantinib or lenvatinib) compared to multi-kinase inhibitor alone in treating patients with liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable), has spread to has spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes (locally advanced), or has spread to other places in the body (metastatic), for which the patient has received treatment in the past (previously treated). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Cabozantinib and lenvatinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving atezolizumab with cabozantinib or lenvatinib may kill more tumor cells in patients with liver cancer.
