Filter by:This is an open, prospective, single-arm, multi-cohort clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of high-dose vitamin C combined with metformin in the treatment of malignant tumors.
To evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of autologous γδT cells in the treatment of advanced hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma.
This study aims to assess whether the acceptable image quality is achievable using low monoenergetic imaging of dual-energy CT with deep learning-based denoising, and low contrast media dose calculated based on lean body weight for the detection of hepatocellular carcinoma.
Background: Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma (FLC) is a rare liver cancer. It most often occurs in young people who have no history of liver disease. Unresectable FLC most often does not improve with surgery. Researchers think gut bacteria may affect liver cancer control. They want to see if a drug that controls a type of bacteria can help. Objective: To test if vancomycin is safe and tolerable for and can treat people with unresectable FLC. Eligibility: People ages 18 and older with FLC that isn t responsive to treatment Design: Participants will be screened with a medical history, physical exam, blood and urine tests, and CT or MRI scans. They will provide a tumor sample: If they do not have one, they will have a biopsy. Participants will take vancomycin 3 times a day. They will take the drug by mouth. They will take the drug in 28-day cycles. They will take the drug daily for the first 3 weeks. They will not take the drug the last week. Participants will keep a medication diary. Participants will have blood and urine tests each cycle. They may provide stool samples. Participants will have a biopsy before they start treatment. Then they will have one on day 1 of cycle 2. Participants will have scans on day 1 of cycle 2. Then they will have scans about every 8 weeks. Participants will continue treatment until their cancer gets worse or they can no longer tolerate the side effects. Participants will have a follow-up visit about a month after they finish treatment. Then they will be followed every 6 months by phone or email.
The rate of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) involving portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) is up to 50% in Guangxi province, China. Some of them will receive hepatic resection, especially those with type I or II PVTT. However, 5-years recurrence rate is up to 75% after surgery. Some retrospective studies found postoperative radiotherapy may reduce the rate of recurrence. Moreover, few retrospective studies also found neoadjuvant radiotherapy (PMID: 27317960) may improve overall survival for HCC patients involving type II/III PVTT. However, the safety and efficacy of neoadjuvant raidotherapy for HCC involving type I PVTT is unknown.
This trial studies how well an investigational scan (magnetic resonance elastography [MRE]) works with standard imaging (magnetic resonance imaging [MRI]) in detecting response to treatment in patients with liver cancer that has spread to other places in the body. Diagnostic procedures, such as MRE with MRI, may make it easier for researchers to see if the treatment for liver cancer is working.
This is an ongoing, longitudinal, single centre, observational, retro-prospective clinical cohort study of patients with HCC in usual clinical practice. All the HCC patients diagnosed and treated in Liver Cancer Center, Nanfang Hospital are consecutively collected and followed up.
A glycyrrhizin-containing product, Stronger Neo-Minophagen C TM (SNMC; Minophagen Pharmaceutical Co.Ltd.,Tokyo,Japan),is widely used in Japan for suppression of hepatitis activity and for prevention of disease progression in patients with hepatitis B virus- and HCV-induced chronic hepatitis. In Taiwan, SNMC has been licensed by Taiwan Food and Drug Administration for the indication of maintain hepatic function. Glycyrrhizin has been reported to mitigate hepatic inflammation by suppressing elevated alanine aminotransferase(ALT) levels and preventing disease progression. The effect of SNMC on acute deterioration of hepatic function following transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) was still unknown. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of SNMC on acute deterioration of hepatic function following TACE.
SHR-1210 is a humanized anti-PD-1 Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) monoclonal antibody. This is an open- label#single center #non-randomized #Single Arm Exploratory Study . This clinical study is an investigator-initiated clinical trial(IIT) .The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of therapy with anti-PD-1 antibody SHR-1210 and apatinib in patients with advanced stage hepatocellular carcinoma.
Aim of this study is to evaluate the correlation between the characteristics detected by the 7T MRI equipment and the histological composition of native explanted livers (group A), liver graft excluded for donation (group B) and surgical specimens of primary pancreatic tumour, which underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy (group C).
