RRGIE
Start date: June 11, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of the study is retrospectively evaluating all features of endoscopic and pathological diagnoses of cases who underwent upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.

NCT ID: NCT03859804 Completed - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Comparison of Pain Levels in Fusion Prostate Biopsy and Standard TRUS-Guided Biopsy

Start date: December 1, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study was to compare the pain levels in transrectal ultrasound (TRUS)-guided standard 12-core prostate biopsy (SPB) and multiparametric prostate magnetic resonance imaging (MpMRI)-guided fusion prostate biopsy (FPB).

NCT ID: NCT02756975 Completed - Complication Clinical Trials

Prostate Core Needle Biopsy

Prostate
Start date: December 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Prostate tissue biopsy is performed with either transrectal or transperineal approach. These two methods are usually based on tissue sampling with an ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy. Transperineal prostate biopsy can be done either with a conventional noncoaxial technique or with a coaxial technique. In conventional transperineal technique, biopsy needle is inserted repeatedly for each tissue sampling. Alternatively, a coaxial needle can be placed over the perineum; then, the direction of the biopsy can be changed by tilting the coaxial needle. In this prospective study, the investigators sought to compare the procedural time and the complication rate of coaxial technique with those of noncoaxial technique in transperineal prostate biopsy.

NCT ID: NCT01896219 Completed - Ablation Clinical Trials

CTNAV II : Multicentric Evaluation of IMACTIS-CT Navigation System

Start date: December 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Estimate the medical service of a system of navigation (IMACTIS-CT®)in terms of SAFETY, EFFICIENCY and PERFORMANCE, in comparison with the reference method during gestures of interventional radiology under scan in the thoraco-abdominal level.

NCT ID: NCT01506778 Completed - Biopsy Clinical Trials

Tenaculum in Endometrial Sampling Procedure

Tenaculum
Start date: May 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Most of gynecological office procedure such as endometrial sampling procedure, hysterosalpingography, hysteroscopy, insertion of contraceptive intrauterine device, difficult intrauterine insemination or embryo transfer procedures often require the application of a single tooth tenaculum to the cervix for steady the cervix, straighten the cervicouterine angle and provide countertraction. However, grasping the cervix with a tenaculum can be a painful experience for the patient.A randomized controlled trial was conducted to evaluate using of tenaculum on pain perception of the patients and the procedure performance of the surgeons in endometrial sampling procedure(ESP) with pipelle.

NCT ID: NCT01280435 Completed - Biopsy Clinical Trials

Islide-Establishing a Clinical Dermatopathology Online Discourse System

Start date: August 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The trend is changed by a large number of low-cost computers, large-capacity computing power, and the rapid advent of network bandwidth. From the Internet to the WWW to Web2.0, the technology in addition brings impact on economic, social, and technological, but also on medical education about knowledge delivery globally and learning patterns. Currently, many scholars start to take the affection of social network seriously. In the medical field, ECGpedia is the typical successful example. There are more than 250,000 members from 188 different countries in the website. On the other hand, the effect of data computing and transition improve the development of Gigapixel image presentation. For example, users can zoom in and zoom out on GoogleMap. The research team has being worked on this kind of search engine on pathology and anatomy slides in past three years. For education purpose, students can observe slides by using a virtual microscope directly. This research will target on establishing a Clinical Dermatopathology Online Discourse System (iSlide). It will combine a virtual microscope platform and a biopsy diagnosis eLearning System. This survey will be focused on evaluating of this platform. The object is all interns in dermatopathology department at Wan Fang Hospital this semester. All the new physicians can learn from experienced experts. Users who have questions can search for help from others via this website. They can get assistance by thinking procedure learning model -scheme inductive and pattern recognition. In doing so, clinicians and pathologists can discuss with each other through this system. It also can improve the education and research development in this field.

NCT ID: NCT01212718 Completed - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Response Prediction in Metastasized Colorectal Cancer Using Intratumoral Thymidylate Synthase

FOGT5
Start date: July 2001
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the study was to evaluate the feasibility of TS determination in a multicenter trial setting using a central facility for measurement and confirm its role as predictive factor for 5-FU treatment in MCRC.

NCT ID: NCT01110148 Completed - Biopsy Clinical Trials

Use of Portable Technology in Patient Education of Shave/Punch Biopsies

Start date: July 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators investigated the use of portable MP3 technology in patient education and informed consent of shave and punch biopsies. Eighty patients were divided randomly into a control and experimental group. Control patients received the standard of care in patient education and informed consent. Experimental patients watched a short 80-second video on shave or punch biopsies. All patients were given pre- and post-education questionnaires to assess the efficacy of each method.

NCT ID: NCT00828893 Completed - Biopsy Clinical Trials

Navigation Guidance Gestures Carried Out Under CT

CT-Nav
Start date: October 2009
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the contribution of navigation systems recently developed to guide the punction needle.

NCT ID: NCT00819533 Completed - Biopsy Clinical Trials

Safety & Accuracy Study of the ActiSight Needle Guidance System in Patients Undergoing CT-Guided Percutaneous Chest Aspiration and Biopsy

Start date: January 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is designed to evaluate preliminary safety and accuracy of the ActiSightâ„¢ Needle Guidance System in patients undergoing CT-guided lung aspiration or biopsy. This image guidance system uses a combination of CT scans and camera images to help guide a biopsy needle to a lung lesion. The system displays a simulated image of a biopsy needle and its estimated path for the biopsy.
