NCT ID: NCT03756350 Completed - Fat Atrophy Clinical Trials

Clinical Evaluation of the Safety and Efficacy of a 1060nm Diode Laser (Abdomen)

Start date: November 14, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is evaluating a 1060nm diode laser for non-invasive fat reduction of the abdomen. The study will enrolled up to 50 subjects requesting non-invasive lipolysis of the abdomen. Each subject will receive a single study treatment. Subjects will be followed at six and twelve weeks post treatment. Twelve week outcomes will be compared to baseline.

NCT ID: NCT03756168 Completed - Fat Atrophy Clinical Trials

Clinical Evaluation of the Safety and Efficacy of a 1060 nm Diode Laser (Flanks)

Start date: November 14, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this clinical study is to assess the safety and efficacy of using a 1060 nm diode laser for non-invasive fat reduction of the flanks.

NCT ID: NCT03753763 Completed - Clinical trials for Multiple System Atrophy

Safinamide for Multiple System Atrophy (MSA)

Start date: October 29, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study is a placebo controlled study, with two parallel arms, in which participants will be randomly assigned in a 2:1 ratio to receive either active (200 mg safinamide) or placebo in a double blind manner. Study population is patients diagnosed, with possible or probable parkinsonian variant of Multiple System Atrophy who are on a stable treatment of levodopa

NCT ID: NCT03749863 Completed - Dysphonia Clinical Trials

Serial Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections for Vocal Fold Atrophy, Scar, and/or Sulcus Vocalis

Start date: February 18, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will investigate the safety and efficacy of four serial monthly vocal fold injections of platelet-rich plasma to treat dysphonia secondary to vocal fold atrophy, scar, and/or sulcus vocalis with glottal insufficiency

NCT ID: NCT03725410 Completed - Clinical trials for Vulvovaginal Atrophy

Multi-polar RF and PEMF for Treatment of Symptoms Associated With Vulvovaginal Atrophy

Start date: September 25, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter, single-blind, randomized, sham-controlled study utilizing the Venus Fioreā„¢ (MP)2, a table-top device designed to deliver multi-polar RF energy and pulsed electromagnetic fields for use in dermatological and general surgical procedures to temporarily improve blood circulation and to induce modification of collagen structure, neocollagenesis and angiogenesis for the treatment of symptoms associated with vulvovaginal atrophy.

NCT ID: NCT03706391 Completed - Clinical trials for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Study of ALS Reversals 4: LifeTime Exposures

StARLiTE
Start date: September 26, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Hypothesis: There exists patients who have met ALS or PMA diagnostic criteria and subsequently experienced robust and sustained improvement, i.e. a "reversal." Thirty-eight of these patients were identified in the prior Duke University study, Documentation of Known ALS Reversals (St.A.R. Protocol 1, Duke IRB Pro00076395). The investigators hypothesize these patients have had different environmental exposures than patients with typically progressive ALS. Identification of specific environmental influences may point to exposures which are protective or exposure that lead to the development of a rare and novel reversible ALS-like disease. Objective: This study seeks to identify environmental exposures associated with ALS reversals.

NCT ID: NCT03652844 Completed - Age-Related Atrophy Clinical Trials

Use of AAM for Correction of Age Related Volume Deficits in the Face

Start date: August 27, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate Allograft Adipose Matrix (AAM) in the face of people with age-related volume deficit - fat loss. AAM is a tissue used to correct fat loss. Participation in this study requires injections for placing AAM in the bilateral pre-jowl and malar areas of the face. The research will tell whether AAM is effective in maintaining mid-face fullness and whether the appearance of the skin improves after injection.

NCT ID: NCT03647189 Completed - Clinical trials for Vaginal Atrophy, Sexual Dysfunction, Vaginal Dryness, Dyspareunia

Randomized, Controlled Trial With Hybrid Fractional Laser

Start date: August 10, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized, controlled trial will evaluate hybrid fractional laser treatment for vulvovaginal atrophy in breast cancer survivors and menopausal females

NCT ID: NCT03616197 Completed - Gingival Recession Clinical Trials

The Effect of Different Gingival Biotypes on Dimensional Stability of Free Gingival Graft

Start date: August 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to compare the effect of mesial and distal adjacent gingival biotypes of the tooth / teeth region of free gingival graft (FGG) on the shrinkage ratio of graft at 6 months postoperatively.

NCT ID: NCT03611842 Completed - Clinical trials for Otitis Media With Effusion

Study of the Expression of MMPs in OME in Children With Atrophy of the Eardrum

MMP and OME
Start date: September 30, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Metalloproteinases (MMPs) constitute a family of endopeptidases that cleaves the extracellular matrix as collagen included in the eardrum. Activity of MMP has been shown in some otitis media with effusion (OME) fluids. These enzymes could be directly linked to the prosnostic of OME as it may damage the eardrum and leads to tympanic atrophy. The main goal of the study is to find out the correlation between activity of MMPs and tympanic atrophy. The investigator will also study if there is any clinical predictive factors in relation to the level of MMPs.
