NCT ID: NCT02334852 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Registry of Atrial Fibrillation and Embolic Risk in Mexico

CARMEN-AF
Start date: December 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The AF is the most common arrhythmia in clinical practice affecting 1-2% of the general population. It is the most common cause of cerebrovascular events (CVE), responsible for 25% of all ischemic strokes and 50% of cardioembolic strokes. The CARMEN-AF registry is planned to be the first registry of non-valvular AF in Mexico with national representation, planning and specific objectives for publications. Follow-up period of two years is planned.

NCT ID: NCT02332096 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Screening for Sleep Apnea in Patients Undergoing Atrial Fibrillation Ablation

Start date: June 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy has been shown to decrease arrhythmia recurrence in patients with AF following ablation. However, patients with AF undergoing ablation are not routinely screened for sleep apnea, despite an estimated sleep apnea prevalence of 25% in the general population, and perhaps higher among patients with AF. Home sleep testing is frequently used for evaluation of sleep apnea.

NCT ID: NCT02325778 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Comparison of CTI Ablation Prior to or After LA Ablation for AF

Start date: January 2010
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is designed to determine if CTI prior to CPVA/PVI/Linear Lesions/Fractionation results in reduced left atrial ablation lesion sets prior to restoration of sinus rhythm in patients with long standing persistent atrial fibrillation in the absence of antiarrhythmic drug therapy compared to CTI after CPVA/PVI/Linear Lesions/Fractionation.

NCT ID: NCT02324686 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Vitamin K Supplementation in Patients on Hemodialysis

VISTA
Start date: January 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether vitamin K supplementation will improve anticoagulation control in patients on hemodialysis taking warfarin for atrial fibrillation. Patients who participate will receive vitamin K1 three times a week on dialysis days for a period of four months. INR levels collected during this period will be compared to the four month period prior to receiving the vitamin K1 to determine if vitamin K improves the standard deviation of INRs and time in therapeutic range.

NCT ID: NCT02321020 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Follow up of Radiofrequency Maze in Mitral Patients

Start date: January 2002
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The present study aimed at evaluating mid-term results of radiofrequency modified maze procedure in mitral patients in terms of sinus rhythm and atrial contractility restoration

NCT ID: NCT02317068 Completed - Clinical trials for Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

Increasing Atrial Base Rate Pacing to Reduce Atrial Fibrillation

Start date: January 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to determine whether increasing atrial base rate pacing to achieve at least 75-80% atrial pacing in patients with sick sinus syndrome undergoing the implementation of dual-chamber pacemaker can be useful to prevent or decrease the atrial fibrillation during 6 months follow-up duration.

NCT ID: NCT02310100 Completed - Clinical trials for Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

TactiCath® Contact Force Ablation Catheter Study for Atrial Fibrillation Post Approval Study

TactiCathPAS
Start date: January 21, 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A prospective, multicenter, interventional study to collect confirmatory evidence on the safety and effectiveness of the TactiCath® percutaneous ablation catheter in the post approval setting for the treatment of symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation using contact force assisted irrigated radiofrequency ablation.

NCT ID: NCT02309398 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

CCC Project - Atrial Fibrillation

Start date: January 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to develop and implement quality improvement programs for the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF) in China based on the successful experience of the AHA-Get with the Guidelines program. This program will use data collection, analysis, feedback, and process improvement to extend the use of evidence-based guidelines throughout the healthcare system and improve patient care of atrial fibrillation.

NCT ID: NCT02307188 Completed - Clinical trials for Atrial Fibrillation or Atrial Flutter

Multipolar Mapping and Atrial Arrhythmias

Start date: November 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical investigation utilizes the Constellation Full Contact Mapping catheter in the left and right atria to explore atrial signal characteristics that can guide atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter ablation procedures more effectively.

NCT ID: NCT02306824 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Berlin Atrial Fibrillation Registry

Start date: December 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Investigator-initiated prospective multicentre hospital-based registry to uncover the proportion of self-reported anticoagulation in stroke patients with atrial fibrillation and assessing the proportion of stroke, intracranial bleeding and all-cause death in the short (at 3 months), mid-term (at 12 months) as well as long term (at 24 months) after ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack in an unselected urban population in Germany. In addition, annual follow-up is planned yearly up to 5 years after enrollment.
