NCT ID: NCT04244396 Terminated - Clinical trials for Persistent Atrial Fibrillation

Persistent Atrial Fibrillation (AF) APAC (Asia Pacific) Observational Study

PerAF APAC
Start date: February 25, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The objective of this clinical trial is to collect safety and effectiveness data for the TactiCathâ„¢ Contact Force Ablation Catheter, Sensor Enabledâ„¢ (TactiCath SE) in the APAC patient population for the treatment of drug refractory, symptomatic persistent atrial fibrillation when following standard electrophysiology mapping and radiofrequency (RF) ablation procedures.

NCT ID: NCT04216667 Terminated - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Posterior Wall And Left Atrial Appendage Empiric Electrical Isolation for Non-Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

PLEA
Start date: January 16, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of empirical posterior wall isolation (PWI), left atrial appendage electrical isolation (LAAEI) and coronary sinus isolation (CSI) when compared to pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) alone: - PVI alone, - PVI + PWI, - PVI + PWI + LAAEI, - PVI + PWI + LAAEI + CSI.

NCT ID: NCT04206917 Terminated - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

MultiPulse Therapy (MPT) for AF

Start date: March 19, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Assess the clinical safety and feasibility of MultiPulse Therapy (MPT) electrical stimulation waveform sequence in terminating paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation.

NCT ID: NCT04160663 Terminated - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Arterial Stiffness and Atrial Fibrillation

Start date: October 29, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Researchers are trying to determine whether arterial stiffness detected by ultrasound can predict outcomes in the development and recurrence of atrial fibrillation.

NCT ID: NCT04115735 Terminated - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

His Bundle Recording From Subclavian Vein

Start date: September 9, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

His bundle pacing has been proposed as a superior alternative to standard right ventricular pacing. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether obtaining a His Bundle recording from the subclavian vein using a stylet driven pacemaker lead and commercially available sheath can be done in a quick and reliable manner. This would support the use of stylet driven leads for His bundle pacing.

NCT ID: NCT04076917 Terminated - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Assessment of the Utility of BIOMONITOR to Identify Atrial Fibrillation (AF) in Ablation Candidates Using Precise AF Detection

BIO-Precision
Start date: September 25, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic utility of BIOTRONIK's subcutaneous cardiac rhythm monitor for the detection of AF prior to an ablation procedure.

NCT ID: NCT04050982 Terminated - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Feasibility Study to Improve AF Outcomes Using a Digital Application for CV Risk Reduction

AFCARE
Start date: October 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The pilot portion of this study is to determine the feasibility of utilizing AF CARE to provide lifestyle modification support to patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). The prospective, RCT portion of this study compare cardiovascular risk factors (CVRF), AF knowledge, AF Symptom Severity and Burden, and QOL between and within the wait list group and the AF CARE group at baseline, 3, 6, and 12 months.

NCT ID: NCT04050969 Terminated - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Bariatric Atrial Restoration of Sinus Rhythm

BAROS
Start date: October 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to determine whether bariatric surgery followed by Atrial Fibrillation (AF) catheter ablation is superior to AF catheter ablation alone in the management of atrial fibrillation in patients with morbid obesity.

NCT ID: NCT04043026 Terminated - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

The Effects of Renal Function and Atrial Fibrillation on Lipoproteins and Clot Structure/Function

RALiC
Start date: September 26, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study is designed to investigate the role of lipids/lipoproteins as a potential cause for the harmful changes seen in fibrin clot properties with renal dysfunction and atrial fibrillation

NCT ID: NCT04042727 Terminated - Heart Rate Control Clinical Trials

Controlling Rapid Atrial Fibrillation With Dexmedetomidine

C-RAD
Start date: August 21, 2019
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of Dexmedetomidine (DEX), on heart rate control in patients with rapid atrial fibrillation (AF) through a pragmatic, randomized, double blinded study comparing the addition of Dex or placebo to standard of care (SOC) treatment.
