Start date: June 24, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This was a non-interventional, retrospective, cross-sectional, descriptive study, conducted on the National Health Data System (Système National des Données de Santé, SNDS). The study did not modify the doctor-patient relationship, nor the management or follow-up of patients. Patients with dispensation of canakinumab for gouty arthritis were selected over the period from 08 April 2018 to 07 April 2020; index date was defined as date of the first dispensation of canakinumab in community pharmacy during study period. NCT ID: NCT05932433 Completed - Chronic Pain Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Therapeutic Exercise on the Gut Microbiome in Chronic Widespread Pain Patients.

MiBioPain
Start date: May 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to evaluate the effect of therapeutic exercise on the gut microbiome in chronic widespread pain patients. Our investigation purpose is to improve the quality of life of participants, reduce their disability and optimize their functionality. The intervention will last 6 weeks, with 2 face-to-face therapeutic exercise sessions guided by a professional and a 6-week post-intervention follow-up. The participation will require: 1. Attend the 12 therapeutic exercise sessions 2. Attend the 3 evaluations: at the beginning (A0), post intervention (A1) and +6 weeks after finishing the exercise program (A3). The items to be evaluated will be the following: 1. The Ronald Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) 2. Anxiety (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI)) 3. Depression: Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) 4. Quality of Life: SF-12 5. Pain: numerical scale (0-100) and The Brief Pain Inventory (BPI) 6. Sensory tests: heat pain threshold (HPT), pressure pain threshold (PPT) and pain modulation (CPM) 7. Perform a pre blood test on interleukins IL-18 and IL-1β This study involves the processing of personal data, so the researchers will guarantee confidentiality in their treatment at all times, complying with the personal data protection regulations, in particular, European Regulation 679/2016. , of April 27, general data protection, as well as Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights. In order to maintain your privacy and anonymity during the research, only one person on the research team will know how names were assigned to a participation number.

NCT ID: NCT05914337 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Exercise on microRNA in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Start date: August 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this prospective cohort study is to learn about whether exercise alters microRNA expression levels in 30 rheumatoid arthritis patients and 30 healthy controls. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does exercise affect microRNA expression levels related to the pathophysiology of rheumatoid arthritis? - Are microRNA levels correlated with disease activity? Participants was applied program consisting of strengthening and stretching exercises 2 days a week for 8 weeks. One day a week, 30 minutes of mild moderate walking was requested. Researchers will compare rheumatoid arthritis patients and healthy controls to see if that the microRNA expression levels of patients with rheumatoid arthritis as a result of exercise training would not make a significant difference with healthy controls.

NCT ID: NCT05888220 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis - Rheumatism

Application of Warm Water and Warm Salt Water to Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

Start date: January 4, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This pretest-posttest randomized controlled study aimed to determine the effect of warm salt water and warm water bath applied to the hands and feet on pain, fatigue, sleep quality, and functional capacity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The study consisted of three groups. These groups consisted of two intervention groups and one control group. As a result of the power analysis, it was determined that 54 people should be reached. Visual Analog Scale, Bristol Rheumatoid Arthritis Fatigue Multidimensional Questionnaire, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, and Health Assessment Questionnaire were used in the study. Patients in intervention groups applied a 41°C warm salt and warm water bath three times a week for six weeks in line with the training given. The patients in the control group did not undergo any intervention other than routine treatment and care.
