In this open-label, multi-center, observational, post-marketing surveillance study, patients with ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, or rheumatoid arthritis received biosimilar etanercept 25 mg twice weekly or 50 mg once weekly in real-world settings. Safety and effectiveness of biosimilar etanercept were evaluated in study participants for a duration of up to 12 months.
The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of GLPG3970 compared to placebo on the signs and symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in participants with moderately to severely active RA and an inadequate response to methotrexate (MTX).
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory disease of the joints causing pain, stiffness, swelling and loss of joint function. This study will assess how effective Upadacitinib is in changing the disease symptoms in Canadian participants with RA. Upadacitinib is a drug approved for the treatment of moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis. Adult Canadian participants with moderate to severe RA who have been prescribed upadacitinib by their physicians will be enrolled. Approximately, 390 participants will be enrolled this study, in multiple sites within Canada. Participants will receive Upadacitinib as prescribed by the physician and will be followed for approximately 24 months. There will be no additional burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the course of the study at a hospital or clinic and will be asked to provide additional information by questionnaire at each visit.
It is aimed to objectively demonstrate and compare the effectiveness of aerobic and resistant exercises performed on female patients with rheumatoid arthritis with sonographic muscle measurements. In addition, it is planned to compare the effects of 2 group exercises on functional status, quality of life and body composition and to show its correlation with sonographic measurements. There are 3 groups in total in the study. These are the control group given only the range of motion exercise, the second group given the range of motion and resistance exercise, and the third group given the range of motion and aerobic exercise. Exercise programs will last 12 weeks and it is planned to exercise 3 days a week.
It is important to control the disease of pregnant women with rheumatoid arthritis to ensure the fetal and maternal health. Frequent disease flare can increase the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes, including abortion, premature delivery and low birth weight. However, there is no scientific and standardized treatment strategy for RA during pregnancy. About 50% of RA patients need treatment during pregnancy. Tumor necrosis inhibitor (TNFi) is an effective treatment, which can significantly improve the symptoms of RA during pregnancy. However, in order to avoid placental metastasis, TNFi is usually stopped in early pregnancy. Certolizumab pegol (CZP) is a PEGylated, Fc-free TNFi, which does not bind FcRn and is consequently not expected to undergo FcRn-mediated transfer across the placenta. Therefore, it can not transfer through placenta into FcRn and is approved to treat RA during pregnancy. This study focuses on patients with RA who consider pregnancy. We compared the efficacy, safety and economy of CZP and glucocorticoids combined with hydroxychloroquine by a randomized controlled trial.
