Filter by:Aim: To study if a person-centered physical therapy intervention program contributes to diminished fatigue in people with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA).
One of the main potential causes of these failures of BP therapy response is the development of Anti-drug Anti-body (ADAb) in some patients. ADAb may decrease the efficacy of BPs by neutralizing them or modifying their clearance and they may be associated with BP-specific hypersensitivity reactions. The prediction, prevention and cure of anti-drug (AD) immunization are thus major goals in BP development. This prospective study (ABI-RA) will assess the occurrence of ADAb using standardized and validated assay(s) and also cellular, genetic and molecular parameters in RA/JIA patients treated with adalimumab, etanercept, infliximab and rituximab or tocilizumab, to address the mechanism of immunogenicity. Patient-related factors that might predispose an individual to an immune response will be taken into account: underlying disease, genetic background, immune status, including immunomodulating therapy and dosing schedule.
This is a two part study comparing CHS-0214 to Enbrel in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis and an inadequate response with Methotrexate (MTX) who are naive to biologic therapies. Pt.1 is a 24-week randomized, double-blind, active-control, parallel-group, multi-center global study. The primary end point is 20% improvement in American College of Rheumatology criteria (ACR-20) at week 24. Comparing CHS-0214 to Enbrel for efficacy and safety. Pt. 2 is an open-label single arm study in which patients with at least an ACR-20 response receive CHS-0214. Continued response and safety will be evaluated.
The purpose of this open-label study is to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of ABP 501.
The study aims to investigate - if a 7 day therapeutic fasting regimen will affect self-efficacy of patients with chronic diseases - the effects of fasting on physical and mental well-being, quality of life and body awareness/image - the association between patients characteristics and the perceived health benefit after fasting - the association between Diagnosis according to traditional Chinese medicine and physical and mental well-being during the course of fasting - experiences and perceptions of patients during fasting therapy
Researchers at the Hospital for Special Surgery are trying to learn more about post-operative rheumatoid arthritis flare (RA). This study hopes to understand RA flare after total joint replacement surgery and what the result of flaring is for patients over the 6 weeks post operation. Through this study we aim to describe rates, characteristics, and risk factors of RA flare within 6 weeks of total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA)
This clinical trial is the first study to apply neurodynamic mobilization, a nervous system specific therapeutic exercise, on patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA). Objective of the study is to find out the effect of neurodynamic mobilization for joint inflammation in patients with RA.
The purpose of this study is to estimate the retention rate of Abatacept over 24 months in routine clinical practice in every participating country depending on the treatment line.
The primary goal of this preliminary project is to study the effect of etanercept, a medicine approved by Health Canada for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, on the inflammation of certain blood vessels. In particular, the inflammation of the aorta and the carotid arteries will be studied. This study's goal is to determine if etanercept (that blocks TNF (tissue necrosis factor) alpha) could have an effect on blood vessel inflammation. As well, the information from this study will be used to determine the number of patients to recruit in a future study. This study will evaluate the effect of etanercept on 10 patients with rheumatoid arthritis at one rheumatology clinic in Montreal. The 10 patients will be recruited at the Montreal Rheumatology Institute (Institut de Rhumatologie de Montréal) and the images of the blood vessels taken at a medical imaging center will be analyzed by the Montreal Heart Institute. To evaluate vascular inflammation subjects will undergo a PET scan (Positron Emission Tomography).
The primary objective of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of a single dose of up to 800 mg in Part A (evaluated in planned steps of 5, 20, 50, 100, 200, 300 mg under fasted conditions, followed by 300, 400, 600 and 800 mg HMPL-523 under fed conditions of a standard meal, followed by multiple doses of 200, 300, 400 and 500 mg of HMPL-523 in Part B, in healthy male volunteers. The secondary objective is to determine the pharmacokinetic profile of single (Part A) and multiple (Part B) oral doses of HMPL-523 in healthy male volunteers and to determine the preliminary effect of food (Part C)
