Additionally, the study will assess technical success and treatment success at each follow-up interval.

Evaluation of the Treatment of Abdominal Aortic Pathology With Hostile Necks, Para-/Juxra-renal and Sovrarenal Pathology at Short, Mid and Long Term

Although open repair (OR) is currently reported as the gold standard of treatment, fenestrated endovascular repair (FEVAR) is being increasingly applied for the treatment of proximal abdominal aortic aneurysms (p-AAA) such as hostile-necked, juxta-, para- and supra-renal aortic aneurysms.1 Nevertheless, advantages of FEVAR in terms of lowering postoperative complications, should be balanced with the need of both complex device configurations and operators with large endovascular expertise. The aim of this study is to report the experience of Data from patients treated will be prospectively collected. All post-operative results will be recorded. Major adverse event (MAE) are defined as the presence of one of the following: all-cause mortality, bowel ischemia, myocardial infarction, paraplegia, respiratory failure, stroke and renal insufficiency. Furthermore, the pre-operative contrast-enhanced computed tomography scans (CTA) of all patients, stored in the hospital PACS, will be analyzed on the dedicated workstation with OsiriX software (Pixmeo sarl, Bernex, Switzerland) currently employed in our Unit for imaging assessment. Patients will undergo standard control with the execution of a Doppler ultrasound and creatinine serum levels at 1, 6, 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months. A CTA will also be performed at 12 months as per standard clinical practice. of p-AAA treatment.

Aortic Valve Sparing Root Replacement Versus Bentall

This study was designed to evaluate the hypothesis that the operative and midterm results of valve-sparing aortic root replacement are equivalent to those of the Bentall. Objective 1: Evaluate short-term (one-to-six months) and mid-term (six-to-forty-eight months) results of aortic valve-sparing procedures. Objective 2: Compare the results of aortic valve-sparing procedures with the group of patients undergoing Bentall procedures during the same period. Objective 3: Assess outcomes of both procedures through evaluation of postoperative: A) primary outcome measures: 1. Intraoperative or intrahospital death. 2. Reexploration for bleeding. 3. Readmissions increasingly serve as a metric of hospital performance, inviting quality improvement initiatives in both medicine and surgery. Recently, a readmission reduction program in the United States was associated with significantly shorter length of stay, earlier discharge, and reduced 30-day readmission after elective neurosurgery. These results underscore the importance of patient education and surveillance after hospital discharge, and it would be beneficial to test whether the same approach yields beneficial results in a different health system, the NHS. In this study, the investigators will replicate the Transitional Care Program (TCP) published by Robertson et al.(Journal of Neurosurgery 2017) with the goal of decreasing length of stay, improving discharge efficiency, and reducing readmissions in neurosurgical patients by optimizing patient education and post-discharge surveillance.
