Filter by:Surgical resection is the only potentially curative treatment for patients with pancreatic cancer. Patients with BRPC have tumors in close contact with the vasculature but not to the extent that resection is prohibited. Nonetheless, retrospective studies have shown that immediate resection in these patients is associated with an increased risk of positive margins, and a margin positive resection does not improve survival over that of patients with unresectable disease. Moreover, even in those patients where a successful resection is achieved, there is a high rate of early metastatic progression suggesting that micrometastatic disease is often present at diagnosis. Therefore neoadjuvant therapy is likely to improve outcomes in patients with BRPC to increase the likelihood of achieving a margin negative resection, provide early control of occult micrometastatic disease, and select those patients without systemic progression who would benefit from surgical resection.
The study will compare the efficacy and safety of treatment with pembrolizumab (MK-3475) versus paclitaxel in Asian, programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) positive participants with advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma who have progressed after failure of any combination chemotherapy containing a platinum and a fluoropyrimidine agent. The primary study hypotheses are that pembrolizumab prolongs Overall Survival (OS) compared to paclitaxel and that pembrolizumab prolongs Progression-free Survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) assessed by blinded central radiologists' review compared to paclitaxel.
This is a single-agent, open label, one-arm phase 2 pilot study of avelumab in patients with advanced or metastatic adenocarcinoma of the small intestine.
The purpose of this study is to find out more information about patients who have cancer (adenocarcinoma) of the esophagus or gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) who have been treated with chemotherapy and radiation but have not had surgery. The study will follow patients for 5 years to monitor for their cancer and to see how the standard medical care affects the daily life of patients.
This study is being done to find out the side effects (unwanted effects) that are caused in patients with cancers who are given SGN-2FF. This study will also attempt to find the most suitable dose in the disease or condition being studied and look at other effects of SGN2FF, including its effect on cancer. This study has several different parts. Part A will try to find the highest safe dose. Part B will enroll more patients to be treated at the highest safe dose or a lower dose to better understand how well SGN-2FF is tolerated. Part C will try to find the highest safe dose of SGN-2FF when it is given combined with pembrolizumab. Pembrolizumab is a standard treatment for cancer. Part D will enroll more patients to be treated at the highest safe dose of SGN-2FF combined with pembrolizumab or a lower dose of SGN-2FF to better understand how well SGN-2FF is tolerated when it is given with pembrolizumab.
This randomized phase II trial studies the side effects of paclitaxel and bevacizumab with or without emactuzumab and how well they work in treating patients with ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer that has come back after treatment with platinum chemotherapy. Monoclonal antibodies, such as emactuzumab, block tumor growth in different ways by targeting certain cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Bevacizumab may prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow. Giving emactuzumab with paclitaxel and bevacizumab may work better in treating ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer.
This is an open-label, non-randomized, sequentially enrolling single arm phase II trial to evaluate the activity of TAS-102 in previously treated metastatic and locally advanced unresectable pancreatic cancer after progression through or intolerance to first or second line chemotherapy. Trial therapy will consist of TAS-102 (Lonsurf®) 35 mg/m2 to be given orally twice daily on days 1-5 and 8-12 with cycles repeating every 28 days. The primary endpoint is to determine the progression free survival (PFS) in subjects with unresectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
This is a single arm phase II trial assessing the potential activity of combination PEGPH20 plus Gemcitabine with radiotherapy in ten patients with localized, unresectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
To tested if the adding of consolidative SBRT to TKI in EGFR mutated patients with less than or equal to 5 metastatic sites (primary + 5) will improve progression free survival (PFS) compared to TKI alone.
Patients with advanced or recurrent adenocarcinoma or adenosquamous cell carcinoma of the cervix will receive Pemetrexed.
