Filter by:To determine the appropriateness of the dose of nintedanib 200 mg b.i.d. plus docetaxel 75 mg/m2 as starting dose by evaluating the safety in Japanese patients with body surface area (BSA) <1.5 m2 and locally advanced or metastatic adenocarcinoma subtype non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) after failure of first line platinum- based chemotherapy
This is a randomized, double blind, 3 arm (1:1:1) study in subjects with 1st-line metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. The purpose is to test the efficacy and safety of demcizumab, when given in combination with gemcitabine and Abraxane® compared to placebo. The administration of gemcitabine and Abraxane® is a standard treatment for patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
Surgical manipulation and handling of a tumor may cause dissemination of cancer cells through peritoneal cavity after curative gastrectomy. Intra operative peritoneal lavage may have preventive effect on positive peritoneal cytology occurred during gastrectomy in patients with gastric cancer.
Metabolic and Molecular Response evaluation for the individualization of therapy in adenocarcinomas of the gastroesophageal junction by evaluation of the R0 resection rate for patients with metabolically (ie, according to PET criteria) chemotherapy-resistant locally advanced AEG, who receive an intensified neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (INRCT). Additonal efforts will be done by investigation of molecular and metabolic biomarkers in relation to their predictive and prognostic value by correlating them with histopathologic responses and clinical outcome in an exploratory approach.
The goal of this clinical research study is to evaluate the safety of PEG-BCT- 100 given as an infusion to treat patients who bear advanced solid tumors that are dependent on arginine (melanoma, renal cell carcinoma, prostate cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma), and who have progressed after receiving approved or established therapies. This is a Phase 1 study; PEG-BCT-100 is an enzyme that degrades arginine and is an investigational drug.
This pilot, phase II trial studies how well everolimus and letrozole work in treating patients with hormone receptor positive ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cavity cancer that has come back. Everolimus and letrozole may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some the enzymes needed for cell growth.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the anti-tumor activity of single agent BYL719, INC280, LDK378 and MEK162 in advanced NSCLC patients carrying specific molecular alterations. There is a great unmet medical need in NSCLC patients with advanced or metastatic disease. Novel approaches using targeted therapeutic agents for these patient populations with molecular characterization could potentially identify subsets of advanced NSCLC patients who would benefit from targeted kinase inhibition. Study treatments, BYL719, INC280, LDK378 and MEK162, which target PIK3CA, c-MET, ALK/ROS1 and MEK respectively, have shown promising data in either preclinical or clinical lung cancer settings.
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of fluorouracil when given together with radiation therapy followed by combination chemotherapy before and after surgery in treating patients with rectal cancer that has spread from where it started to nearby tissue or lymph nodes. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as fluorouracil, leucovorin calcium, and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed. Giving additional combination chemotherapy after surgery may kill any remaining tumor cells. Giving radiation therapy and fluorouracil followed by combination chemotherapy before and after surgery may be a better treatment for rectal cancer.
This study is comparing the effectiveness of enzalutamide with or without abiraterone acetate for men with high-risk, localized prostate cancer.
The primary objective of this study is to compare the overall survival (OS) of subjects with previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer treated with cyclophosphamide (CY)/nivolumab/GVAX pancreas vaccine followed by nivolumab/CRS-207 (Arm A) to subjects treated with CY/GVAX pancreas vaccine followed by CRS-207 (Arm B).
