Detecting HPV DNA in Anal and Cervical Cancers

This is a research study for individuals who have cancer associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) and are being treated with radiation as part of standard care for their cancer. Doctors leading this study will use blood tests to find out if they can detect the HPV virus in the blood of study participants before, during, and after radiation treatment. They will also collect blood and archival tumor tissue (from a previous biopsy) to perform other tests in the future that could provide more information about HPV-associated cancers and how they respond to treatment. Participation in this study will last approximately 2 years.

Clinical Response and Toxicity of Hypo-fractionated Chemoradiotherapy in Cervix Cancer

Uterine cervix cancer can be treated definitively with concurrent chemoradiation (external beam radiotherapy and chemotherapy) followed by high dose rate brachytherapy. Treatment duration can be shortened by increasing the dose per fraction of treatment which can reduce costs and patient exposure. The aim of our study is to determine the non-inferiority of hypofractionated radiotherapy compared with conventional treatment.

Research of Circulating Tumor Cells Released During Cervical Cancer Surgery

Cervical cancer is a rare pathology. Recent studies showed that the risk of recurrence is higher for patients treated by coelioscopy in comparison with laparotomy. It could be explained by the spread of circulating tumor cells (CTC) due to tumor mobilization during different steps of the surgery. The primary goal is to evaluate the spread of CTC during surgery on peripheral blood samples. The secondary outcome is to evaluation the disease-free survival at 3 and 5 years postoperatively. 20 patients with early stage cervical (IA1 to IB2) eligible to coelioscopic stadification and laparoscopic surgery will be included.

Clinical Efficacy of Adjuvant Chemotherapy in Patients With Locally Advanced Cervical Cancer Who Did Not Meet the NCCN Guidelines for Adjuvant Treatment After NACT Combined With Surgery

This is a prospective, phase 3 randomized controlled clinical trial. Cervical cancer patients with FIGO stage IB3, Ⅱ A2 or IIB with tumor size> 4 cm will be enrolled. Patients will undergo 2-3 cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapyradical (NACT) followed by laparotomic or laparoscopic hysterectomy + pelvic lymphadenectomy with cervical cancer foci sealed before dissection of the vagina and without uterine manipulator. Patients meet criteria of adjuvant therapy according to NCCN guideline after surgery will be weeded out, and who do not meet criteria of adjuvant therapy will be randomly selected to undergo adjuvant chemotherapy or just follow-up visit. The primary endpoint was disease-free survival (DFS) rate at 5 year. The secondary endpoints were 5-year overall survival (OS), safety and quality of life.
