Filter by:Open-label, interventional, multi-centre, randomized phase II study. Cancer studied is non-metastatic muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). Avelumab administered every 2 weeks is used as neoadjuvant therapy in subjects with urothelial muscle invasive bladder cancers in combination with standard chemotherapy or alone.
This observational study is designed to collect urine and relevant clinical information from patients who have a known diagnosis of bladder cancer and currently on clinically driven surveillance. The study aims to compare the urine test to the flexible cystoscopy procedure (which the patient is already scheduled).

The study consists in a co-clinical trial by using zebrafish embryos. Specifically, an observational prospective clinical trial on patients operated of epato-biliar-pancreatic cancers and gastro-intestinal cancers undergoing a chemotherapy treatment will be run concurrently to an animal trial on zebrafish embryos xenotransplanted with patient cancer cells in order to demonstrate that zebrafish model is able to predict the therapeutic regimen with the best efficacy for each patient.
Disease recurrence and progression is a major issue in high risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). The current study compares two adjuvant instillation therapies in the treatment of high risk NMIBC. After resection of the tumour(s), patients will receive either traditional regimen of Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) instillations or combination treatment consisting of sequential BCG-instillations and mitomycin C instillations administered with electromotive drug administration (EMDA) device.
Bladder cancer is the 5th most common cancer in Europe, with more than 151,000 new cases diagnosed in 2012 (4% of the total). Bladder cancer has the highest recurrence rate of any malignancy, often as high as 70% within 5 years of successful treatment. This high recurrence rate requires diligent and accurate monitoring as a means for early diagnosis and treatment. Considering the burden associated to repeated invasive cystoscopies, there is a need for robust but accurate tests for surveillance. In that prospect, urinary molecular tests have been developed although none were deemed adequate in the European clinical guidelines to replace cystoscopies. The Xpert Bladder Cancer Monitor Assay is a qualitative in vitro diagnostic test designed to monitor for the recurrence of bladder cancer in patients previously diagnosed with this cancer. The test provides a fast and accurate result, is non-invasive and easy to perform. The aim of this study is to assess the non-inferiority of the Xpert Bladder Cancer Monitor assay in detecting recurrences in comparison to cystoscopy in the follow-up of patients with low or intermediate risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC).
The purpose of this study is to compare nivolumab plus neoadjuvant gemcitabine/cisplatin (GC) chemotherapy, followed by post-surgery continuation of immuno-oncology (IO) therapy, with neoadjuvant GC chemotherapy alone in adult participants with previously untreated muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC).

The study is a pilot study in the feasibility of a diagnostic technique. There is no current data on detection of cisplatin in cancer cells derived from human urine. This study will generate preliminary data so that future studies may be done with more definitive end points in mind.
This is a clinical trial studying the administration of NanoDoce as a direct injection to the bladder wall immediately after tumor resection and as an intravesical instillation. All participants will receive NanoDoce, and will be evaluated for safety and tolerability, as well as the potential effects of NanoDoce on urothelial carcinoma.
