NCT ID: NCT03655990 Terminated - Missing Teeth Clinical Trials

A Full-Arch Implant- Supported Prosthesis in the Upper and/or Lower Jaw-USA

Start date: August 7, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study follows subjects who have agreed with their dentist that their failing teeth or missing teeth all need replacing. This study follows their standard routine care with some additional assessments. The dental treatment option that replaces a whole arch or both arches (upper and lower jaws) of the mouth is call "Teeth in a Day" and information on the use of the JUVORA™ Dental Disc during this treatment is what is being collected as part of this study along with subjects follow-up care.

NCT ID: NCT03580798 Terminated - Tooth Loss Clinical Trials

Ridge Preservation Comparing Simultaneous vs. Delayed Grafting

Start date: November 8, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Comparison of the clinical healing of simultaneous vs. delayed grafting for dental implant placement.

NCT ID: NCT03036566 Terminated - Missing Tooth Clinical Trials

Lithium Disilicate (CAD/CAM) Fixed Partial Dentures (FPD) Clinical Study

Start date: March 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This investigation will be a clinical trial to study the performance of a high strength ceramic material for bridges to replace missing teeth. The ceramic material has been approved by the FDA for patient treatment. A computer technique will be used to make the bridges. The bridges will be cemented using an adhesive resin cement (MultiLink Automix/Ivoclar). The bridges are planned be evaluated for clinical performance at 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, and if funding permits, 4 years, and 5 years. The purpose of the study is to measure how well the high strength bridges function over an extended period of time.

NCT ID: NCT02762201 Terminated - Tooth Loss Clinical Trials

Clinical Evaluation of Implant-secured Removable Partial Denture

PASI-PAC
Start date: May 16, 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to compare the therapeutic efficiency of implant-secured removable partial denture (PASI) with the therapeutic efficiency of the metalic standard removable partial denture (PAC) in the treatment of intermediate extended-gap (4 adjacent teeth). The therapeutic efficiency will be assessed by the 5 years-prosthetic success rate.

NCT ID: NCT02441920 Terminated - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Chronic Periodontitis and Tooth Loss in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

Start date: November 2010
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Periodontitis is a highly prevalent chronic inflammatory disease that is characterized by loss of the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone, and is a major cause of tooth loss. Results from clinical and epidemiological studies have suggested that periodontitis and tooth loss are more prevalent in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). There is evidence to suggest that periodontitis could indeed be a causal factor in the initiation and maintenance of the autoimmune inflammatory response that occurs in RA. If so, chronic periodontitis might represent an important modifiable risk factor for RA. However, to date longitudinal studies on the effect of periodontitis on disease progression in RA are lacking. The aim of the present study is to assess the periodontal status of patients enrolled in an established longitudinal cohort of RA patients. These data will then be analysed to evaluate whether or not periodontal inflammation is related to parameters of rheumatoid arthritis.

NCT ID: NCT02159183 Terminated - Teeth Loss Clinical Trials

Controlled Pilot Study to Assess Soft Tissue Reaction at the Crestal Part of a Dental Implant With ESTA Surface

Start date: January 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will investigate the effect on the soft tissue that is in contact with a dental implant with a modified surface of the neck (the part of the implant that is above the bone and in contact with the soft gum tissue).

NCT ID: NCT00782236 Terminated - Tooth Loss Clinical Trials

Comparison of Straumann BoneCeramic vs. Allograft Bone in Extraction Sockets

Start date: June 2006
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the implant stability at the time of abutment placement on implants placed in healed extraction sockets treated with Straumann BoneCeramic (SBC) versus Freeze Dried Bone Allograft (FDBA).

NCT ID: NCT00295126 Terminated - Tooth Loss Clinical Trials

REPI : a Randomized Open Label Trial Evaluating the Use of APC in Pre-Implantation Reconstruction of Maxilla

Start date: May 2003
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized open label trial that evaluates the efficacy of an autologous platelet concentrate (APC) in pre-implantation reconstruction of maxilla. The sinus occlusion will be performed under general anaesthetic. On one side by the usual technique with hipbone transplant, the other side will be restored with APC mixed with autologous bone tissue removed from the surgery site. The side selection will be determined by the randomization.
