To determine the magnitude of improvement for pain and function symptoms over a two year period after enrollment into the registry study in patients presenting with chronic heel pain and receiving standard of care treatment. Standard of care will include traditional conservative care measures, ESWT, radiofrequency-based plasma microdebridement, scalpel debridement and/or surgical release.

We will investigate the effect of peritendinous corticosteroid injections, eccentric training and heavy resistance training in male patellar tendinopathy patients. The purpose is to compare the clinical effect of these three treatments in a randomised controlled trial. Also we wish to investigate the treatment mechanisms responsible for the effectiveness of the three treatments.

Chronic achilles tendinopathy is a common disease especially in adults. The golden standard in treatment has up to now been excentric exercises but with varying success. A new hypothesis is that this chronic pain is due to neo vascularisation. In a pilot study sclerosing injections with polidocanol have had a successful efficacy. Our aim is to study the efficacy of polidocanol as a treatment in a randomised controlled setting on a larger scale.

Exercise and Shoe Orthoses in Treatment of Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction

Posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD) is the most common cause of painful and debilitating acquired flatfoot deformity in adults. The dysfunction is often progressive and may result in attenuation of the PTT and eventually collapse of the plantar arch or even rupture of the tendon. Current therapeutic management of PTTD is multipronged and includes management with foot orthoses, stretching, and strengthening exercises. Evidence drawn from research related to the management of painful chronic Achilles tendinosis suggests that eccentric strengthening of the posterior tibialis may lead to superior results compared to concentric. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of treatment interventions used in the management of PTTD.

Subacromial Decompression Versus Subacromial Bursectomy for Patients With Rotator Cuff Tendinosis

The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of arthroscopic subacromial decompression (acromioplasty) to arthroscopic subacromial bursectomy (no acromioplasty) in rotator cuff impingement syndrome. The investigators' hypothesis is that arthroscopic subacromial decompression provides no additional benefit, as evaluated with disease specific quality of life measures, compared to arthroscopic bursectomy.
