Filter by:This is an expanded access study involving an investigational product named Vigil. Vigil is considered immunotherapy. Patients who participated in another clinical trial sponsored by Gradalis, and had Vigil made from their tumor tissue removed from a standard operation, however failed the criteria to enroll in the other clinical trial to receive Vigil are eligible to screen for this expanded access trial to receive the Vigil made from their cancer cells. In this study, eligible participants will receive intradermal (under the skin) injections of Vigil, once every 4 weeks (28 days) for 1-12 doses, depending on the number of doses that was made from the cancer cells and if the participant is clinically stable. During the treatment portion of the study, in addition to receiving Vigil injections, participants will also have a physical exam, blood collection for routine and research tests, and assessment of medications, adverse events, and performance status information will be collected. Radiological tumor assessments will be performed every 3 months from Cycle 1. Once treatment ends, participants will continue to be seen in the clinic every 3 months for similar assessments until disease progression occurs. After disease progression, participants will be contacted by phone 4 times a year to determine post study treatment and survival status information.
Phase II study in patient with advanced Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS) patients who have already received or are not suitable, for a doxorubicin-based treatment.
Surgery is currently the only potentially curative treatment modality for localized retroperitoneal sarcoma (RPS). Available studies regarding oncologic outcomes are mainly retrospective in nature, and RPS are recognized as a rare disease. Therefore, prospective analysis of high quality data is a top priority. Primary Objectives of this study are: - to prospectively collect standardized clinical data and radiological and pathological material from primary RPS patients treated with surgery at reference centers. - patient outcome will be evaluated in terms of overall survival (OS), disease-free survival (DFS), crude cumulative incidence (CCI) of local recurrence (LR) and distant metastasis (DM). Secondary Objectives: - to estimate the efficacy and safety of surgical treatment, including extended surgical approach to primary RPS; - to prospectively evaluate the impact of multimodality therapy, including radiation therapy and chemotherapy; - to identify clinical, radiological and pathological characteristics that may influence the oncological outcome or may be used as predictors of LR/DM/OS. These may be important biomarkers of disease; - to utilize collected pathological material for research collaborations.
This study is a multi-center, non-interventional retrospective medical records review. The study will involve identification of medical records of patients with confirmed locally advanced unresectable or metastatic ES, who initiated systemic therapy between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2017. Data for the chart review will be extracted retrospectively from eligible subjects' charts (electronic or paper). Information on prior surgical treatment and neoadjuvant/adjuvant therapies for ES will also be collected for ineligible subjects with a locally advanced or metastatic ES diagnosis who did not initiated systemic therapy. Data collected will be anonymized by the investigators and will not be traceable back to individual subjects by the sponsor (i.e., no protected health information [PHI] will be collected).
The main objectives of this study are the following: to describe the prognostic factors of survival of synovial sarcoma in patients treated by the orthopedic surgery unit oncologic of the orthopedic surgery and traumatology service of the Hospital de Sant Pau during the years 1983-2016.
This is a phase 1/1b open label, multicenter dose escalation and dose expansion study to investigate the safety, tolerability and anti-tumor activity of TPST-1120, a small molecule selective antagonist of PPARα (peroxisome proliferator activated receptor alpha) as monotherapy and in combination with a systemic anticancer agent, nivolumab, an anti-PD1 antibody, in subjects with advanced solid tumors.
This study will investigate the tumor-associated vasculature of patients with solid tumors. The investigators will use a technology known as intravital microscopy (IVM) in order to visualize in real-time the vessels associated with solid tumors. The IVM observations may determine if an individual patient's tumor vessels would be amenable to receiving systemic therapy, based on the functionality of the vessels.
This phase II trial studies the wound complication risk of shorter course, hypofractionated pre-surgery radiation therapy in treating patients with localized soft tissue sarcoma of the extremity of superficial trunk that can be removed by surgery. Hypofractionated radiation therapy delivers higher doses of radiation therapy over a shorter period of time and may kill more tumor cells and have fewer side effects. Shorter course hypofractionated pre surgery radiation therapy may be more convenient for patients with soft tissue sarcoma than a longer course of radiation therapy, and may result in fewer complications.
This research study will collect blood and tumor tissue samples from patients with soft tissue sarcoma to look at circulating tumor deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). When tumor cells are damaged or die, DNA from the tumor cells are released into the blood stream as the cells break down. This is called circulating tumor DNA. Circulating tumor DNA is an important biomarker that may be used in cancer detection, prediction of treatment response, and disease monitoring.
Anlotinib is a multi-target receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It can inhibit the angiogenesis related kinase, such as Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor (VEGFR), Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor(FGFR), Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Receptor(PDGFR), and tumor cell proliferation related kinase c-Kit kinase. Anlotinib is an efficient second line therapeutic agent in treatment for metastatic soft tissue sarcoma which has been approved in clinical trials (ALTER-0203).Therefore , this study evaluates the safety and efficacy of anlotinib plus epirubicin and ifosfamide treat the metastatic or advanced soft tissue sarcoma .
