Filter by:The BCB SARCOMES database is a clinical and biological national database dedicated to sarcoma that contains 3 main databases with specific aims: the first is the pathology database (French expert network dedicated to the management of bone sarcomas [RESOS] / French expert network dedicated to the pathology of sarcomas [RREPS]), dedicated to systematic review of mesenchymal tumor diagnostics nationwide; the second is clinical (RESOS / French expert clinical network for sarcomas [NETSARC]), collecting multidisciplinary tumor boards (MDTB) data of patients nationwide, and the third (CONTICABASE / BONE / GIST) is dedicated to collecting patients longitudinal/follow up data, with a focus on treatments of every events, and a catalogue of associated samples. Primary objectives of BCB-SARCOMES are the following: description of the patterns of care and treatment outcomes, assessment of the prognostic factors of patients' outcomes. Well-designed observational studies of individuals with rare tumors are needed to improve patient care, clinical investigations, and the education of healthcare professionals. The patterns of care, outcomes, and prognostic factors of a cohort of 2225 patients with metastatic soft tissue sarcomas who were diagnosed between 1990 and 2013 and documented in the prospectively maintained database of the French Sarcoma Group will be analyzed with a focus on : number/frequency of systemic treatments per patient, number/frequency of patients with locoregional treatment of the metastasis, number/frequency of patients with chemotherapy, number/frequency of patients with an off-label drug. Outcome (time-to-next treatment [TNT] and overall survival [OS]) will be reported according to histological subtype, as well as the association between TNT and OS. Prognostic factors of OS will be investigated.
One of the main challenges in treating sarcomas with radiation is the toxicity to normal structures around the sarcoma. Early reports suggest Hypofractionated Radiotherapy will be safe and effective for treatment of soft tissue sarcomas. However, given the rarity of this disease, the diversity of histological sub-types, and the variety of locations where these can occur (anywhere in the body), more data is needed to provide understanding of the safety and efficacy of hypofractionated radiotherapy for treatment of this disease. The hypothesis is that by using hypofractionated radiotherapy, highly conformal high dose radiation can be delivered to soft tissue sarcomas, while respecting established normal tissue constraints and that local control rates will be greater than historical rates reported with conventional fractionation. Eligible participants with biopsy proven soft tissue sarcoma will be on study for up to 60 months.

This trial is a translational, open-label, multi-sites, prospective and retrospective cohort study of 500 patients aimed at clinical and biological characterization of sarcoma of rare subtype. 400 patients will be included in this prospective cohort study; they will be identified in the investigating centers in the context of either routine care or a clinical study protocol. Retrospective cases of patients (100 cases in total) will be identified in all centers through the GSF/GETO clinical databases already setted up (including the clinical base Conticabase).
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects of pulmonary suffusion in controlling minimal residual disease in patients with sarcoma or colorectal carcinoma that has spread to the lungs. Pulmonary suffusion is a minimally invasive delivery of chemotherapeutic agents like cisplatin to lung tissues. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Pulmonary suffusion may also be useful in avoiding later use of drugs by vein that demonstrate no effect on tumors when delivered locally.
This clinical trial studies how well a nurse-driven telephone intervention improves side effects in patients with cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy. Receiving calls from a nurse at home while receiving chemotherapy may improve the management of side effects and overall care in cancer patients.
This clinical study is to investigate the safety and tolerability of CAR modified autologous T cells (CCT301-59) in subjects with recurrent or refractory solid tumors.
Patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) are central to understanding the impact of cancer treatments on patients. Treatment may control cancer growth, and even sometimes modestly improve the length of life, but at the expense of disruption of lifestyle, and of toxicities. It is very important to use PROMs to evaluate the balance between these risks and benefits to understand the overall impact of the treatment. It remains poorly described whether patients report improved outcomes during palliative chemotherapy with trabectedin, using high quality questionnaires, and how this may vary with the clinical effects and duration of the treatment and characteristics of the patient.
This trial will study SGN-CD47M to find out whether it is an effective treatment for different types of solid tumors and what side effects (unwanted effects) may occur. The study will have two parts. Part A of the study will find out how much SGN-CD47M should be given for treatment and how often. Part B of the study will use the dose found in Part A and look at how safe and effective the treatment is.
