This trial compares trabectedin alone to trabectedin in combination with regional hyperthermia in patients with high-risk soft tissue sarcoma. The study is designed to demonstrate a significant benefit for sarcoma-therapy by adding regional hyperthermia.
The purpose of this study is to find out how an antibody called Hu3F8 travels through the body and to tumors. Antibodies, like Hu3F8, are proteins that help attack tumors or fight infections. Antibodies can be made by your own body or in a laboratory. The target of an antibody is called an antigen; antibodies fit their antigen like a lock fits a key.
This randomized phase III trial studies how well combination chemotherapy with or without ganitumab works in treating patients with newly diagnosed Ewing sarcoma that has spread to other parts of the body. Treatment with drugs that block the IGF-1R pathway, such as ganitumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vincristine, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, ifosfamide, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether adding ganitumab to combination chemotherapy is more effective in treating patients with newly diagnosed metastatic Ewing sarcoma.
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of ziv-aflibercept when given together with pembrolizumab in treating patients with solid tumors that that may have spread from where it first started to nearby tissue, lymph nodes, or distant parts of the body (advanced). Ziv-afibercept works by decreasing blood and nutrient supply to the tumor, which may result in shrinking the tumor. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving ziv-aflibercept together with pembrolizumab may be a better treatment for patients with advanced solid tumors.
This phase II trial studies how well cabozantinib s-malate works in treating patients with osteosarcoma or Ewing sarcoma that has grown or returned (come back) after a period of improvement. Cabozantinib s-malate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and may also prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow.
This randomized phase II/III trial studies how well pazopanib, when combined with chemotherapy and radiation therapy or radiation therapy alone, work in the treatment of patients with newly diagnosed non-rhabdomyosarcoma soft tissue sarcomas that can eventually be removed by surgery. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as ifosfamide and doxorubicin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Pazopanib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether these therapies can be safely combined and if they work better when given together in treating patients with non-rhabdomyosarcoma soft tissue sarcomas.
The purpose of this study is to determine if Magnetic Resonance guided High Intensity Focused Ultrasound ablative therapy is safe and feasible for children, adolescents, and young adults with refractory or relapsed solid tumors.
This study aims to investigate a drug called Cabozantinib which belongs to a family of drugs that have effects on tumour growth, blood supply, invasion and spread. Therefore, we want to find out whether taking cabozantinib after treatment with surgery and chemotherapy is effective and safe for patients who responded or had stable disease after their chemotherapy. All participants will receive 4-6 cycles of standard chemotherapy. Those with stabilization or response to the standard chemotherapy will be split into 2 groups (cabozantinib or placebo).
This protocol will study treatment for Ewing sarcoma family of tumors (ESFT) and desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT). Participants with ESFT will be divided into two treatment groups, A or B, based on tumor characteristics. Group A (standard risk) participants have tumor that is not in the pelvis, has not spread to other parts of the body, and are less than 14 years of age. Because previous clinical trials have shown that standard treatment is very effective for children whose tumors have these characteristics, these participants will receive standard treatment. Group B (high risk) participants are 14 years of age or older or have tumor in the pelvis, or the tumor has spread to other parts of the body. Participants with DSRCT in the abdomen and/or pelvis or with tumor that cannot be removed by surgery alone or has spread to other parts of the body will be included in Group B. Participants in this group are considered high risk because there is a greater chance of tumor recurring following standard treatments currently in use. All participants will be followed and evaluated for 10 years following completion of therapy.
