NCT ID: NCT02467504 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Low-dose Recombinant Human IL-2 for the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Start date: July 1, 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an immune-mediated inflammatory disease, characterized by symmetric poly-arthritis usually involving the small joints of the hands and feet. In addition, various extra-joint manifestations may develop. Several immunomodulating agents have been attempted in the treatment of RA without achieving satisfactory results. Dysfunction of regulatory T (Treg) cells has been detected in diverse autoimmune diseases, which can be promoted by interleukin-2 (IL-2). The investigators hypothesized that low-dose IL-2 could be a novel therapy in active RA patients. This clinical study will test the efficacy and safety of low dose IL-2 treatment in RA. The investigators perform a single-centre, double-blind pilot trial with hrIL-2 in RA. The investigators evaluate the effectiveness and safeness of low-dose hrIL-2 for RA by randomized controlled study (hrIL-2 (N = 23) + Methotrexate (MTX)+ Loxoprofen versus placebo+MTX + Loxoprofen group (N = 24)).

NCT ID: NCT02467205 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Walk for Rheumatoid Arthritis (WARA Study)

Start date: November 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The overall aim of this randomized control trial study is to investigate the effectiveness of a six-month, community based, pedometer supported, walking programme, along with an education programme incorporating behavioural change techniques on steps count and sedentary time, disease activity, functional capacity and cardiovascular risk of people within the first five years of being diagnosed with RA.

NCT ID: NCT02466217 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Phenomics in Autoimmune and Inflammatory Diseases

TRANSIMMUNOM
Start date: July 29, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The family of inflammatory/autoimmune systemic diseases (IAD) form a continuum from pure inflammatory diseases to pure autoimmune diseases, encompassing a large panel of inflammatory diseases with some autoimmune components, and vice versa. Cross phenotyping of patients with IAD should be heuristic and help revise the nosography and the understanding of these diseases.

NCT ID: NCT02460393 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

A Trial With Humanized TNFα Monoclonal Antibody Injection by Single Dose and Dose Escalation in Healthy Subjects

Start date: May 2015
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study is a randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled trial with healthy subjects. There are 6 Groups as follows: 5mg, 15mg, 30mg, 50mg, 75mg, 100mg, and each group includes12 people. A single subcutaneous injection will be administrated starting from the low dose group (in accordance with 5mg, 15mg, 30mg, 50mg, 75mg, 100mg administered subcutaneously). Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics data will be collected; drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics characteristics will be analyzed. Drug safety and tolerance for subjects will be evaluated.

NCT ID: NCT02456844 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Study to Investigate the Effect of BMS-986142 on the Pharmacokinetics (PK) of Methotrexate and Probe Substrate Cocktail in Healthy Patients

Start date: May 2015
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

To study the Pharmacokinetics (PK) parameters of montelukast, flurbiprofen, midazolam, digoxin, pravastatin, and MTX when coadministered with BMS-986142.

NCT ID: NCT02451839 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

An ObserVatIonal STudy of the Effectiveness of AdaLimumab on Health and Disability Outcomes in New Zealand Patients With Immune-Mediated InflammaTorY Diseases (VITALITY)

VITALITY
Start date: July 6, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

For public health purposes disability is becoming increasingly important as an outcome measure. Despite this, there are few data on the effectiveness of adalimumab on disability outcomes in patients with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), particularly in the Phase IV setting. There are even less data available in New Zealand, which did not have the opportunity to participate to a major extent in large, multinational, Phase III pivotal studies of adalimumab in IMIDs. The World Health Organisation Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS) 2.0 is a simple, validated, free and easy-to-use generic assessment instrument for health and disability. It is applicable across cultures, in all adult populations. It is a responsive measure that can show what difference a treatment makes. Results from study of effect of adalimumab on WHODAS scores and other patient-reported outcomes (PROs) of work activity and well-being will be of interest to a variety of stakeholders in the healthcare system including patients, healthcare practitioners and payers.

NCT ID: NCT02451748 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

IL-7 and IL-7R Expression in RA Patients With Active vs. Inactive Disease Treated With DMARD or CIMZIA

Start date: August 2015
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to better understand the factors present in the cells of inflamed joints of patients with arthritis that may cause rheumatoid arthritis. Knowledge gained from this study may lead to new and better therapies for arthritis.

NCT ID: NCT02433340 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Phase 2, Multicenter, Open-Label Extension (OLE) Study With ABT-122 in Rheumatoid Arthritis Subjects Who Have Completed the Preceding M12-963 Study

Start date: April 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 2, multicenter, 24-week, open-label extension (OLE) study to assess the safety and tolerability of ABT-122 in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) subjects who have completed Study M12-963 Phase 2 RCT.

NCT ID: NCT02433184 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Very Early Versus Delayed Etanercept in Patients With RA

VEDERA
Start date: July 2011
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The main aim of the study is to determine whether TNFi instituted as first-line therapy in early RA confers better outcomes (clinical, structural and immunological) compared to delayed TNFi start; implying particular dominance of TNF in early disease, a changing role of TNF with disease duration and hence, confirmation of a biological window of opportunity.
