Filter by:Non-adherence to medications can lead to sub-optimal treatment in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. In order to improve disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) adherence, the investigators are conducting a randomized controlled trial to test out an intervention to improve medications adherence among low adherers. This intervention involves the use of a musculoskeletal ultrasound program which allows RA patients to visualize their joint inflammation and damage real time while treatment adherence is simultaneously reinforced. In doing so, the investigators hope to improve patients' understanding of their joint disease and motivate the participants to adhere to their medications.

The purpose of this pilot study is to investigate feasibility and patients´ assessment using an animated home-based exercise program (Software Wii-fit of the Nintendo Wii game console) for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
This study will focus on a rare cell population called fibrocytes in peripheral blood and synovial tissue in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). One group of patients with early RA and one group with long-standing RA. Both groups will be followed for 6 months. After informed and written consent a control groups is also formed: One for synovial biopsies for patients undergoing a routine arthroscopy, where a peripheral blood sample is also taken. The hypothesis is that fibrocytes are present in the blood and synovial tissue in RA. Patients with early and long-standing RA have higher concentrations of fibrocytes in peripheral blood and synovial tissue compared to a control groups. Levels of fibrocytes in peripheral blood and synovial tissue are correlated with RA disease activity measures and imaging findings.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the percentage of participants treated with subcutaneous (SC) Tocilizumab who are still on treatment after 52 weeks and the factors that play a major role in continuation of treatment.
This study will be conducted to find out how well a patient of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) will respond to disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). RA is a chronic inflammatory arthritis, which leads to joint damage & disability if not treated properly. A DMARD is used to treat RA that slows down or prevents joint damage, as opposed to just relieve pain or inflammation by painkillers. The study will be conducted at the Department of Clinical Immunology, JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research). Patients will receive either a single DMARD (Methotrexate) or combination DMARDs therapy (Methotrexate + Leflunomide + Hydroxychloroquine). During treatment course, routine blood investigations will be carried out to monitor treatment response and side effects.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the study drug, BMS-986142, is safe and effective in treating moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in subjects with an inadequate response to methotrexate or methotrexate and up to 2 tumour necrosis factor (TNF) Inhibitors. Patients who qualify will be randomized to either one of 3 doses of BMS-986142 or placebo in 1:1:1 randomization for 12 weeks. Disease activity and safety will be assessed over the course of the study.
Demonstrate equivalent efficacy of GP2015 and EU-authorized Enbrel in patients with moderate to severe, active (RA) who had an inadequate response to disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARD) including methotrexate (MTX).
The main objective of this study is to measure, in patients with MS or Chronic Inflammatory Arthritis (CIA), the correlation between two calcium intake assessment methods: A self assessment questionnaire of calcium intake (QALCIMUM®) versus a food survey serving as a reference (gold standard) and based on data from CIQUAL *. * CIQUAL Data: Nutritional food composition table available on the website of the ANSES (National Agency for Sanitary Security of Food, Environment and Labour), published by the Observatory of the Nutritional Quality of Foods. This table includes 1500 sheets of 58 nutritional components. The data is integrated into the software (DATAMEAL) for calculating the ingesta parameters at the Nîmes University Hospital.
The purpose of this interventional study is to determine whether tetracyclines, statins, antiviral and Vitamin D3 in single subministration are effective in improvement of life and health condition in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis due to autoimmune disease (RA) in all his forms, specially in patients intolerant to commonly used treatments.
